Well, I'm glad I got stuck at work today. What's sad about this is that they made a bunch of adjustments to the defense before the game. Looks like they should've just left things the way they were. I'm having trouble believing we'd be doing worse than we are now.

There's an 80 page report.... It's... not good.

Yep. All it takes is an accusation... And a Title IX investigation... And evidence... And the accused changing their stories over time... And more new evidence (including video)... And admission by some involved. They released the full report... and it's pretty damning. I waited until reading everything I could before forming an opinion. Thing is, there's a code of conduct. I believe Minnesota suspended some b-ball players last year for something similar, but more consentual. So there really shouldn't be any confusion from these guys that the university might look cross at a train being run on some girl. The fact that the remaining players, who didn't have the evidence at the time of their boycott, thought they had ANY cause to boycott just shows how little the "student" part of student-athlete applies these days. I hope NIU gets their bowl game. Because F these spoiled tools.

How about we DON'T spell out the sound an eagle makes? How about we just, you know, come up with another idea? Maybe one that isn't terrible. Because some s**t like, "hreeeeeeeh!" would also look dumb in marketing. Caw is the sound a crow makes.

I don't consider either impressive. And both will be meaningless in the long run if we don't recruit better.

I'm impressed that we've gotten 5 wins from mostly the same team that lost 11 games last year. But one year is one year. I've seen 5-7. They can MAYBE coach. They've done a good job this year. They get the benefit of the doubt. If I'm looking at them with the same lens, then I have to say that Mac could also coach. After all, he owns half of our bowl wins, getting us one in our first year in CUSA. So what did him in? What made an extension after that bowl win a bad idea? And that's the point. In the long run, going 5-7 doesn't matter. I've seen it before. I know how it ends with bottom tier recruiting classes.

Mac went 5-7 in his first year, too. Even won a bowl game by his 3rd year. By year 5, he was 0-fer, including the worst loss in the history of ever, and lost his job.

I think he's a 3 to play 3 guy.

But you can also use it for recruits, as the article mentions. They'd just have to be valuable enough to justify carrying a policy on for 4 years... and you'd have to have the money.

What makes us not their peer? We've already ruled out recruiting, so it's clearly not that they have a huge talent advantage over us. Know who else out-recruits us? UTSA... they're 3-1 vs us. I wonder what the difference is. Must be their big, bad program and facilities and history of success. People on here are concerned that we get out-recruited by Sun Belt and CUSA schools. You're the one who wants to bring up Big 12 and SEC schools for your straw man.
