A lot of these guys just have the QB coach as an Eye-in-the-sky/co-OC to give them the booth view (which is always the concern w HCs calling their own plays).

Does the "or something" include the sticks they beat the raccoon to death with? Or did the sticks have to be literal baseball bats? 1) The University needed to act quicker, so this wouldn't become the story that it is. Even hinting at SOME kind of punishment would have been a better reaction than their own dismissive statement. 2) That's not how you train dogs to hunt raccoons, just to keep that dumb excuse from coming up again 3) So, manipulating nature... like dog-fighting and cock-fighting and, well, any other two animals that you can put in an area? 4) The worst part isn't even any of that. It's that these dudes, including Muhammad, got their jollies from it. It was apparently awesome enough to not just TAKE a video of, but to then decide to SHARE that video on social media.

Lol, Dickey doesn't even play Dickey ball anymore.

I'm wondering if there's a few more guys we could steal from WSU... Something like a Mason Miller (OC) and Drew Hollingshead (QB Coach) combo. Miller is an OL coach, played FB, has been an assistant HC and OC and various position coaches (under Mumme and Norvell, I think, before Leach), but has also been a HC (Tarlton and/or McMurry). Hollingshead is the guy who's taken over the QB drills and booth duties that Harrell had before him at WSU. I think Miller makes around $300k. Don't know about Hollingshead.

I'm personally fine with either one for putting down a raccoon, but I come from a family of ranchers (though I was raised in the city). Once you have the thing in a cage, though, it's inhumane to release it and have dogs attack it. Hell, I'd mostly be concerned for my dogs. Raccoons are tough, and often diseased these days. Even knowing my dogs would kill it, I wouldn't want to risk injury to the dogs for no good reason. It's one thing if the dogs were out at night and came upon a raccoon and attacked it (though even then my goal would be to get the dogs away from it so I could deal with it). This is both cruel and stupid.

My assumption is this: Arizona knows they aren't getting a premier HC candidate in the NFL this go round. They're shooting for the moon in the hopes that Kingsbury is some kind of star on the rise. One thing is, more people are talking about the Cardinals now than... well, ever. I still don't think it works. People pointing to Mahomes and saying that's Kingsbury are ignoring the ridiculous talent Mahomes has and that Andy Reid (while a playoff failure), is an outstanding offensive mind and coach for QBs.

Yep. The thing is it's not TCU and SMU eating up our market. It's all Big12.
-
Yeah, Milton is a great QB. And I think there's no better mark in their favor than the fact that they won 3 games and took LSU to the wire with their freshman backup.

On their way to being SMU.

Tied for worst bowl blowout in history. Army hasn't scored that many points since the 1950s.

Coach Choice headed to his Alma Mater

Quitter! (Just kidding) Choice is awesome, so I hate losing him, but wish him the best and don't fault him for taking this opportunity. Great recruiter and great dude. -
This thread title has one too many r's in it.

Guy's getting a ton of praise in Cleveland. He was here in 2001-2003. https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2018/11/27/the-all-22-how-new-offensive-coordinator-freddie-kitchens-became-the-browns-mvp/

Yeah, it's funny how few convictions there are when every authority figure, from assistant coaches to ADs to police, actively work to cover up crimes and hang the victims out to dry. A number of cases haven't even gone to trial yet (Armstead, Oakman), so I wouldn't be hanging my hat on "well, only 2 of 20-30 guys alleged to have committed assaults, sexual assaults, and gang rapes have been convicted." A lot of them won't ever be in trouble, won't ever be indicted, won't ever be convicted of anything. But I think there's enough in the reports that have come out to say that this wasn't a few bad apples who had no impact. If there weren't GOOD players involved in anything, there's no reason for Art to have worked so hard to sweep things under the rug. Hell, he could make a statement by suspending and cutting the scrub players.
-
Also, Art Briles was not a scapegoat. He was knowledgeable of and involved in actively trying to cover up incidents in which his players were involved outside of Baylor's disciplinary system. Lawsuits involving gang rapes by football players are still pending/being settled, so it's early to say whether it was just the half dozen guys who actually got in trouble, or the 20-30 guys who've been accused.
-
Almost all of them. I believe all but one.

Tevin Elliott assaulted 5+ people, beginning in 2009, and didn't get found out/in trouble until 2012. Ukwuachu was indicted in 2014 for the 2013 rape, but there weren't any media reports until 2015. This was widely reported at the time (2015). Oakman was dismissed from Penn State in 2012 for assault. There were articles praising his turnaround until he was arrested for rape in 2016. At THAT time, information regarding his 2013 assault in Waco was released. He went 4 years before the information came to light. Baylor University reported no sexual assaults from 2008-2011... it sometimes takes a while for these things to show up.
