I'm as frustrated about DT Ronnell Wright.Rivals NT no longer shows him as committed, and he doesn't show there on Arkansas State...My thinking is that we are better off without him if he is going to act last this. I believe most of our posters are aware of the 2011 commitment to NT FB but thought this would be the first step in looking at our prospective players. I show 7 commitments. This does not include: DT Ronnell Wriht, Butte CC, California 6-3, 280, committed Dec 20 over offers from Arkansas State, UTEP, Washington State, offer by NT..His commitment is still in question.. JC QB Brent Osborn, NW Miss JC, 6-4, 210, committed to NT over offers from Murray State,Tenn Martin, UAB and Georgia Southern..who led his team to a a 9-1 record, completed 64.4 % of his passes (181 of 295, 18 TD's, 12 interceptions) What we don't know about Osborn...has NT signed a LOI? NT officials can't give out info and we won't know until NT announces all his signees or someone from Osborn's coach or family furnishes this info to an fb web site. Black uniforms bring back bad memories when Darrell Dickey on his way out ordered black uniforms that I believe did not meet NCAA standards and without approval of the AD as spite. He tried to state the players wanted them but parents denied that.

I, like everyone am concerned about NT recruiting this year....but there are still a lot of known offers by UNT ( I have 39 known offers by UNT that are still not commited 11 of which are rated 3* ranking also have been listing NT for a long time) So some very good players are still out there. Part of this concern may be like DD's stealth recruiting of not releasing commits...(I can dream can't I). I have heard rumors we have a commit from a JC QB which I hope is correct...and would believe Cooper Jones may turn up at NT as he has an know NT offer and has shown interest by visiting NT a couple of games and knows and has made it known he has NT at the top of his list. NT does have a 290 HS OT that has NT as one of his top 3...the others being a long distance from Denton which might make a difference. Hang in there everyone. OldTimer
