Wife and I are flying into Montgomery Friday Night and will be at the game. Come by UNT tailgate and say hello. Most of my paternal family is from AL ( Dothan and Anniston), but this will only be my second time in the state.

I was at the closest table last week, and you could barely hear what was being said. Too noisy and not enough support--food & drink specials for fans who make the trip to hear TD. Even though it's a little further to drive, I fully support the move.

I would not of thought it, but it did top the 2002 NMSU crowd of 20,064 by a few hundred, and that's with an extemely small visiting contingent unlike NMSU in the game for the 2002 SBC champioship.

Very disappointed in the student turnout. They may know more about verbal support and being rowdy, but there were far too few, and they need to learn when the game starts rather than dragging in before halftime. I still say if you get it for free, you perceive it's worth nothing. We have the most spoiled student body in D-1. Note what happens when you have effective student fees as do the FL based schools who are both building new stadiums. Why are we so timid? Even $70. per semester is less than they spend on beer , but would be a great boost to our Athletic Dept. Where will they find the quality of education for the price they have paid for it? Let them try elsewhere if they object to the fee, they'll be back once they see how posh they have it here!!

One thing no one seems to have mentioned is the brilliant adjustments Schnelly made at half time. I looked up from the deck and here we were back on the field with 5 minutes remaining on the half time clock. Meanwhile Schnelly kept their players in the dressing room until the last moments figuring out how to attack and defend what he had seen in the first half. I normally don't agree with DMN, but they were completly on point that this was Schnelly's 254 th college game and Dodge's 3rd, and it showed in the second half. To his credit TD took this defeat hard in his post game interview, unlike what we became used to with DD and his flipant "who cares?' attitude. As long as there is still hurt and disappointment after a loss and the expectation of a win, mistakes can be corrected. I did not see SMU first hand as it is better for my health that I don't go to a contest with those arrogant S_ BS, but as I observed the tapes it was apparent that Meager tires out in this offense and his lack of arm strength shows up even more. I feel the kid plays with heart and runs well, but he is too slow to make decisions, telegraphs his reads, and has a painfully weak arm.

Is that goal of 40,000 a capacity number or the year of expected completion?

Games like this on a home and home basis are possible now, if we just give up this stupid stance of NEVER playing in TX Stadium, C B, or Jerry's World!!f I see no merit of the stance on this. If it's just to appease Dentonites or students then it's just plain stupid. Why go on the road every year to prostitute for a pay check when local venues are avaialble that would give us at very least a one for two?

SMU radio announcers calling us Southlake, and generally making fun of the way we folded at the end. Roman still played VERY POORLY.

Stonewall Jackson marched through Atlanta? Pretty neat trick since he died 2 years before at the Battle of Chancellorsville in VA. How about "Bloody Billy Sherman" who vowed grass will never grow where his army had trod. He spares Savannah because he has a girl friend there. He offers the City of Charleston to Abe as a Christmas present. This man was the epitomy of the term "DAMN YANKEE". Get your history straight Plumm!!!!

I'll be there because I want to see how you explain this. Absolutely no fundamentals--even in jr. high you learn to square your shoulders to make a tackle, pride or inspiration? this team was dead when it took the field and proceded to check it in more as the game wore on, speed anywhere on the whole team?--ran like they were wearing Army boots, in shape?-- hands on hips entire second half, and on the one TD did the receiver not get the TD speech on when you get to the end zone act like you've been there before? I hope another team shows up for SMU ' cause if this one has no more pride than they showed, the embarrasement will be in our own back yard not just being the laughing stock of the nation. Outside of FIU and Western KY. who do we even match up with in the SBC? Yea we need a new league --The Southland Conference would be a much better fit. Somewhere there has to be a big smile on Darryl Dickey's face when he sees this atrocity.

What game was this guy seeing????? # 37 may be of of the worst players every to don an NT uniform. If he is even close to imulating a D-1 DB, I'm Santa Clause.

If we have to send a band that can't show up in uniform and play a football game type performance, the money should not be spent to send them. If they plan this same attire and stupid performance for SMU then leave 'em at home! About the heat and the practices, the football team had the same and in full gear, but they did not show up in kahki. When OU can dress out, UNT could too. This was bush league during the game and at halftime. We are the laughing stock of the country both as a football team and an extremely overrated School of Music that thinks it operates in a vacum from the rest of UNT.

VERY UPBEAT and confident. TD says they didn't contact him 4 years ago at SLC when they scheduled OU, but if our kids perform as they've been taught that we will be in the hunt. KNTU pulled the plug before the show was over, so didn't hear his analysis of OU or his evaluation of defensive side of the ball. Mean Green Nation should all protest the "Jazzhead" that cut off TD. Post contact for KNTU if you have it and let's barage them with protests!!!!!!!!

In the "interim" while we await that GREAT DONOR ON HIS WHITE HORSE to rescue our "field of dreams", why not play a game at " Jerry's World" or even the Cotton Bowl if we can get a two for one in the future with a worthy opponet? This is the only major point that I differ with RV. Play a game with an OU,UT, T$M, Big 10, Pac 10 , or SEC where you get the exposure--they will NEVER come to Denton and frankly Denton in my over 40 years as a fan, student, & alum has NEVER shown to be worthy of a quality opponet's consideration for a two for one. Why not get with reality---our kids now and future recruits would really pay attention to the opportunity. Just like we have with the students and the failure to access realistic athletic fees, we have way too long pampered Denton while seeing little or NO return from all our efforts!!

College football is an emotional game. SMU can talk all it wants about Martin, but I'll put a healthy Jamario up against him any day of the week. I was there at CU when Jamario made his debut and anything near that form as well as two QBs who can scramble in Meager and Vizza and with a DodgeBall offense that lights it up, bring those arrogant a--holes on!!! A first team D with Chapman and a bevy of DBs and LBs and I think Justin Willis gets plenty of pressure. After having faced OU, this will be a much easier match up. As fans we need to suck it up and support the Mean Green with the biggest, most vocal road crowd ever!! In Todd we trust. This is the game that will make us a force and the leading metroplex program after TCU is put in its rightful place by BU and UT!!!! UNT 30 Southern Miserable University 10
