MTSU will be in Hawaii, FAU will beat FIU in finale to be bowl eligible and play in St. Pete, Tulane is a lock for N.O. Bowl,Loser of ECU/Marshall will play in Military Bowl in Annapolis, Winner will win C-USA and play in Memphis (most likely ECU). That leaves UTSA (don't fret they will smoke LaTech in finale),Rice, and NT for Dallas. Considering we can't even draw at home (yesterday's crowd considering what was at stake was purely pathetic)UTSA will be first choice, Rice second, and NT a distant afterthought. Even if St. Pete did not take FAU, Rice would get the nod. Face it yesterday's game and the soon to be loss to Tulsa will mean the end of season whimp out brings NT no bowl consideration. Blame DT all you want but poor officiating, contantly giving up third and long to a very mediocre team, no k/o or punt return game, absolutely no pressure from D-Line,and failure of receivers to catch the ball (sure the throws weren't perfect but if a D-1 receiver can get his hands on a ball it should be a catch--Sosa's weren't all perfect, but how many were drops?). If you think DT was alone in losing this game you must have had your head in the clouds, there is plenty of blame to go around including poor motivation skills and adjustments by the coaching staff. I was amazed that Senior Day meant nothing to these guys, but when you come out to empty stands and a crowd that would likely pass for that at a tennis match--can you blame them for mailing it in on the season?

Remember Steve Ramsey and Ron Shanklin set all their records in three years ( had freshman teams in that era).

Positive electric atmosphere that contributed to on the field performance. Those who were there were part of something special. Some may be given a pass due to the week night Halloween thing, but no excuses accepted for the homecoming game. Be there or you are part of the problem! One thing missing last night was as usual the Denton community. Your support of the universities that make your town what it is IS TRULY PATHETIC! Don't ever confuse Denton with being a REAL college town. The C of C and leaders give a lot of hot air support, but there were many more people who had driven a lot of miles and made sacrifices to be there on the alumni side than there were Dentonites. I challenge the citizens of Denton to prove me wrong on Homecoming!

If we do have a playoff game at Apogee involving Denton I S D schools charge them triple anybody else!! Collins was built just to thwart the building of Apogee and Denton ISD recruits never give N T even a glance in recruiting . Make paybacks hell for Denton!!

Why UAB as a first choice for the West when USM is the more western of the two? Many don't know but the refusal of the MVC to add USM and instead call a secret meeting of the expansion committee excluding member Hayden Fry to add Illinois State and Indiana State was the reason North Texas said good bye to the MVC and went Indy.

Really lucky to have this team and coaching staff. Probably the best choice since Hayden Fry to resurect a program almost completely destroyed by TD. As for DT. How do you like me now? A career that puts him along side Steve Ramsey, Mitch Maher, Scott Davis, and Scott Hall as a great QB maybe not flashy but a leader and a competitor per Chico " one of the smartest QBs I've ever coached"

Wife and I arrive in Biloxi at 11 AM Sat. Morning got round trip air on AA @ $125. See all at tailgate at 3 Plan to stay on Gulf coast till Tues then back for RICE on Halloween Let's come home with 3 in a row and a score to settle with RICE at Apogee on National tv on Thurs. Night

I might add I'm 66 years old. If these kids can't take the Texas heat, they'll be in assisted living by 40.

Vito has been very positive after this game. Maybe some of the Denton Old Nestor's and the drugged out jazz heads on campus will see the DRC and learn that they have a damned good UNT football team to watch at a cheap price or maybe they just enjoy making billionaires like Jerry Jones richer by paying hundreds of dollars for a business that makes it's living pandering the NFL sheep mentality.

Remember this is not the same Tulsa team we saw there two years ago. Also hopefully we will have a healthy DT starting and not Little Mac ( he was a disaster).

I took the A Train from Carrolton Trinity Mills Station and was on the pedestrian bridge fifty minutes later. Great experience, but as usual weak turnout. Hope it got better later since I was on the 11:07 departure.

The student side was abysmal. Use heat as an excuse once but not again when it's ten degrees cooler. If they can't turn out by the Rice game, then there is a serious problem! I was born in Texas work my ranch in one hundred five degree heat and don't wear short pants like our band.

Still too many drunk on the hill rather than in the stadium. Shut them down at game time. Start running them in for loitering and minor consumption if they are still up there after half. Get their attention that the game not the all day party is the reason for being there!

Will band wear their " real uniforms" this Sat or the short pant t shirt version? Note TT and every other program does wear their complete unis not some cooled down outfit

To San Diego and Las Vegas belong to $9 fare club. No problem as long as you book online and pay for any bag checked online $20. for one checked bag. No charge for anything that fits under the seat. Has been on time and is cheaper and closer to DFW than SW

Wife and I are at the W Hotel on Poydras same street as N O Superdome and near casino. Got airfare for 2 on Spirit in on Fri out on Mon for $235

Actual 10,500 with 4,000 students in attendance and another 3,000 drunk on the hill staying out of the stadium watching A$M vs AL. Announced 19,000

Glad we dropped UTA since we haven't beaten them in years. Greatly embarrassed to be beaten by a program in the bottom of metro teams. Looks like SMU and TCU will have a good Dallas tournament . Sad that UNT and UTA will never be worthy of being asked to participate.
