You wouldn't wager on that would you? He will be fired. The only reason he was back this year is because we were still paying RV, Mac, and Peterson. I'm not saying this isn't a completely embarrassing cluster eff because it is. I used to go to 8-10 games a year. I've been to 3 in the last 5 years. I personally turned on RV New Years Eve before the first HOD Bowl in an Omni Hotel bar when he was was still fully supportive of TB. This has been epically bad and horribly mismanaged but TB's contract will not be renewed. He was a goner no matter what even before the season started.

Not here. Not anywhere.

Oh c'mon. There is no way that will happen.

Remember when he said we had 3800 show up for the HOD Bowl in 2014? That embarrassed me and will ever make me question the aptitude, intelligence and effectiveness of college coaches forever. What a dumbass - and he was the OC here.

All-time best UNT FB player you ever witnessed
GreenFlag replied to greenminer's topic in Mean Green Football
This is tough. QB - Vizza with a tip of the hat to Hall RB - Freshman Jamario WR - Quinn OL - I loved The Badger. DL - Booger LB - Cody Spencer with a tip of the hat to Robinson, Kassell, and Orr. CB - it might have been from this year. Lots of guys but no one standing out from the rest. Safety - Craig Jones/Laramie Lee Returner - Brelan Kicker - Keith Chapman Punter - Toby Gowin although I have enjoyed Keena the most. The Best of the best was Booger. -

I hope they learn from this and try it again. This can be a winner of a promotion. -
I wish I didn't get hangovers after getting drunk.

I have been a proponent of promotions that fill seats for a long time - even if you are giving away tickets. The argument against has been it devalues the product. I never bought that argument. I'm glad Wren understands the value that a crowd brings. I think this will work.

Which pick? The silly throw into triple coverage when he could have thrown it away or the unmolested 5 yard pass that sailed over the RB's head into the waiting arms of the DB?
-
It was a tough loss. We had about 100 yards more total offense, more time of possession, and had more first downs. The offense was balanced. Those darn turnovers though. A fumble on the one yard line, a silly forced throw int that should have never been thrown, the wth pass fumble thingy, the 5 yard overthrow int. Oh, and the TD called back that we didn't end up converting. Too many unforced errors that you just can't come back from. Mason just had his worst game. He will bounce back.

Mailbox loves the running game. Dude, there isn't a team in the country that could have passed effectively that day - the wind was atrocious. The mere threat of a passing game opened up the rushing game. In college football today you have to have both to be effective. Army doesn't, we shut that down and that is why we won. Please Mailbox, quit the McCarney mantra because it's bullsh. This isn't a Todd Dodge coached team.

Matt from A700 Memorial Chances to Beat UTSA Poll

About the weather at the Army game since I was there and why we won... I saw the weather as playing favor to Army because it really wasn't too wet. It was a light drizzle in the first half that subsided in the second half. You didn't see the slipping and sliding on the field. The real factor was the wind which plays to Army's strength until they got behind. It was that crazy cold whipping wind that could go anywhere. The long passes were flying way off target for both teams. We won because we at least have the threat of a passing game which opens running options. We won because we didn't give up the big play and forced mistakes. We won because Army has a terrible kicking game. Most of all we won because of superior athletic skill combined with a great defensive game plan. Army is a one trick pony that was exposed Army had some nice LB's but that was about it. We "out athleted" them at every other position. Army may have been the slowest FBS team I have ever seen. I don't care what the stat sheets showed, we beat their ass. -
I'm right here thank you very much. Go Mean Green!

I'll be there +4 and taking the ferry.

I was told before the game the decision had been made to fire Dan McCarney. He would coach the Portland State game and the WKU game that Thursday. That would give Chico almost a week and a half to try to get the team back.

I was there not to long ago and you could.
-
No they aren't. Now if there is an accident, all bets are off.
