  1. He is already over 100 yds
  2. I grew up in West Texas and it is pretty much expected that you will attend Texas Tech. I broke the tradition in our family and my sister followed. Because the other major universities are so far away , everyone seems to jump on the Tech wagon. So, it is not surprising that the brand is so strong. After all, when you are the only one in the area, who are you going to cheer for?
  3. I live in the Tampa area and on the sports tonight, coach Arians said, “We are no longer using Darden in one on one drills. He is catching the ball, gives his cover man a move and scores a touchdown.” (That is paraphrased).
  4. I moved out of the Quads and into the College Inn. It was like moving from a Yugo to a Cadillac. At that time my roommate and I were some of the 20 guys staying at The Inn with every sorority girl on campus. We had a flag football team and asked for and received t-shirts from every sorority to use as our football jerseys. It got some strange looks when the season started. The scenery was great and the food was good. The memories will last forever.
  5. Bravo! It’s all about regional rivals if we are to survive!
  6. Tech is my vote for the “burn in hell” award. Ive been there for different both. Football and basketball and was treated poorly each time.
  7. Lived there from. 70-71. I then moved to the College Inn
  8. I live in the Tampa area now and I will be there. Exciting.
  9. I am relying on a 71 year old memory so I may be mistaken, but I believe that UNT drew very respectable crowds during the Blakely years. I know of near sell outs for Texas, SMU, Tech, DePaul and several other opponents. I know, these are “name” schools that always draw nice crowds but as I remember, we still averaged a very nice number of fans. I believe that basketball is no different from football. If you put a good product on the floor, you will draw nice crowds. This is not a year to panic, Covid-19 changed lots of habits but winning will change them next year. Just wait and see.
  10. This is how championship quality coaches talk.
  11. I’m as old as I have ever been and as young as I will ever be.
  12. Yes, UNT showed no love but for four years they housed you and provided you with an education. If it were not for the “love” UNT gave you, holding that teeny, tiny trophy might not have happened. Have you learned to block those defensive ends yet?
  13. I now live in Florida and Fox Sports Southwest is not an option. What are the radio stations that I can listen to? I know it is not on KNTU.
  14. “Let’s put a “D” on their helmets and Dallas on their jerseys and maybe no one will know we’re SMU and come to our game!”, said their AD. Part of it is working, they dont know who they are.
  15. “Maybe if we change our uniforms and put Dallas on our jerseys, they won’t know we are SMU and will come to our games.”, said the A.D.
  16. Greene didn’t start playing football until his sophomore year. He’s only played two seasons and has come a long way. We may have stolen a jewel.
  17. I now live in Florida and haven’t received mine.
  18. nUTSAck and UTEP are left out.
  19. I am quite sure SMUt is excited to know they will have 50% attendance. 😉
  20. Could it be a big offensive tackle?
  21. I was at the game, Homecoming, sitting on the student side. I believe the snow was 11” and it was hard to concentrate because of the constant barrage of snowballs. It was the first time many of the FSU players had seen snow and when the game ended, a snowball fight broke out on the field.
