  1. This is the RPI. The updated coaches poll comes out tomorrow. We were #29 last week.
  2. Plumm should just start putting his entire post in the topic title box.
  3. No, I stuck to just wishing him well.
  4. Anxiously awaiting the coaches poll release on Tuesday. Two more wins this weekend. We were at #29 last week.

  5. Agree. The home schedule some people want is never going to happen (unless we move up conferences). Wouldn’t mind having a power conference team at home, but this is fine.
  6. We need to keep up the intensity. Not only are we on the cusp of cracking the top 25, but more importantly getting that ranking up in the high teens or low 20s would give us a chance to HOST a first round NCAA game. The RPI is pretty decent too.
  7. https://247sports.com/Player/Carson-Berryhill-46051556/ No offer showing (from us or anyone else) Happened to be wearing my NT hoodie in Oklahoma this weekend and ran into a family member. Said North Texas was one of the schools taking a look but no offer yet Tuttle HS is undefeated so far. The family member said Tuttle runs the spread. 6’2” 190. I’m guessing we probably don’t plan on taking another QB but who knows.
  8. We haven’t been undefeated this late in the season with a home game in almost 60 years. This would not have been anything remotely resembling NT football history. If we can somehow roll into homecoming 7-1 we may get close to 30k despite the loss.
  9. His palms were down pushing toward the ground rather than Palm up lifting to the air. He also looked incredibly frustrated when things got louder. My point is we should be proactive in preventing this in the future.
  10. Yes a special season is off the table except for the slight possibility of still getting to the CUSA championship game (and winning it). It would be awesome to get to 10 wins, but if we can’t win the conference there will ultimately be very little difference between this year, 2013 and 2017. It is what it is.
  11. This needs to happen until people understand.
  12. I’m not sure they’re even that good. Probably good enough to not drop two games in CUSA but very little more than that. Which makes it even worse.
  13. Seriously? Every game except maybe the Thursday night against FAU would’ve had 30k if we were undefeated.
  14. The team “needed a reality check” is one of the more baffling ways fans rationalize losses. I agree the season is far from over, but if we did need a reality check this was far from the most ideal game to get it. It can happen but there will be nothing easy about winning the west and a large chunk of it is completely out of our hands. Even if we don’t win the west, hopefully we can hit the 10 win mark which would be another nice step forward for the program.
  15. ...is embarrassing. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but when, at home, our QB has to flail his arms trying to quiet the crowd (on a crucial 2 point conversion no less) and the crowd gets even louder, that gets to the point of being detrimental. If we need to play a pregame video reminding the crowd of proper offense cheering etiquette, so be it.
  16. So long as Mason’s injury isn’t serious this is likely still going to be a great season. It won’t be a dream season. And there’s obviously some disappointment that will be associated with that given what happened to expectations (realistic or not) over the last couple of weeks. For me it’s not that we lost last night, it’s how it happened. What the team needs to do is make sure things don’t unravel into something like 7-5. Have to keep moving forward.
  17. Its awesome we got to 30k, but that makes the loss feel even worse. Huge missed opportunity on so many levels. Missed it all by a foot right on a FG attempt.
  18. Not this season. But keep a little faith at least.
  19. For a G5 to make it they have to absolutely annihilate everyone in their schedule. That will heighten the pressure on the committee. UCF has several close calls last year. Even then it’s probably not good enough.
  20. I think they’ll have enough to fill the visitors section to the top, but doubt it’s much more dramatic than that.
  21. Well I guess we will just see what happens. There is a way to generate space on the east side of the highway if there is a will in the administration to do it. Eminent domain for a sports venue would likely face some opposition though and would be more expensive than land already owned.
  22. Would be nice if the weather would let them play a game every now and then...
  23. I love just about everything that leadership is doing (and love would be an understatement), but making students cross a highway to go to basketball games is not a good move just for the sake of having all of the athletic venues in one spot. I wish there was a way to have had the football stadium (and all the other stadiums for that matter) on the east side of the highway. It just didn't shake out like that.
  24. Way less football games than basketball games. Football is typically during a better part of the year for walking outside to a destination. Football is also more of an "event" rather than just going to and from a basketball game. I've made this point on here before that moving the arena to the other side of the highway would be massively detrimental to student attendance. Building a 5,000 seat arena at a university with 40,000 students would also be a big mistake. I'm anxiously awaiting the updated plans.
  25. We didn't turn the ball over against Liberty did we?
