At this point we need to just root for the teams at the top to get ranked and help league perception. We are toast in the conference title race.
-
I speculated that was the cause. Two other people on here said that’s their understanding of what happened. I have zero inside information. Considering this poll is good enough for all of the top teams in college soccer I can’t imagine it’s something we simply don’t want to be a part of. We were a part of it until last week. If that’s what happened it’s not the end of the world. I fully expect is to be in the top 25 on Tuesday.
-
It is THE coaches poll.
-
Like it or not, the USC poll is THE coaches poll of college soccer. We should have been on top of the membership.
-
Well, hopefully it will be remedied for next week. A win at old dominion should get us back in.
-
OT win tonight in Murfreesboro to take the regular season championship.
-
The United Soccer Coaches Association runs the poll. To be eligible you have to be a member. The only reason I can think of that they straight up removed us would be if we missed a payment or something. Because even if we dropped out of the Top 25 we should still be in the regional poll.
-
Yeah. That makes very little sense. The fact that we aren’t in the regional poll says they must have removed us entirely for some reason other than on field play.
-
Frisco would be really fun. That stadium is LOUD when it’s full. Which it would be.

The Mac bowl win was only meaningful to the NT fan base. Nationally it was meaningless.

***OFFICIAL UNT vs. UAB GAME THREAD***

What makes you so sure. Chad Morris went to Arkansas without doing anything meaningful. Seth’s tenure has been more impressive than that despite not winning the big games (so far). -

We still have MTSU and ODU on the road next week. I’d imagine we can’t lose both and still have the regular season title. Both of those games are weather reschedules and make for a brutal final stretch since we will just stay in Norfolk following that game for the conference tournament. -
Soccer takes down FAU 2-1. Both teams were undefeated in conference play going into the game. FIU next up on Sunday. They’re currently down 4-9 at Rice. A win sunday should get us back in the top 25 going into the final week.

DRC: UNT releases ticket, donor figures

It’s about maximizing revenue to maximize resources to have a better chance at moving up and being successful. Edit: also, the entry level is only $25. Not a huge amount of money, but still gives a purchaser an extra step of investment in the program. -
Dropped to a tie for 26th. Two wins at home this week should jump us back in. Can’t afford any more hiccups.
-
The tiebreaker after CFP goes to the team that has the longest drought of playing in the conference championship game. I do see your point that a theoretical 11-1 NT team might be able to sneak into the CFP rankings. If we can’t and La Tech does not lose again, we lose on the final tiebreak. Period.
-
I bet we drop to 26 in the coaches poll.
-
None of us are going to have a CFP ranking. That tie breaker is irrelevant. We are doomed in a 3-way tie because we played in the title game last year.
-
Pretty thorough drubbing of Marshall today 3-0. Tie and a win on the road might be enough to stay in the top 25. Of not we will he just outside and should jump back in with two wins at home next week.
