I know this isn’t going to happen but in a crazy hypothetical in which we won out, what would that get us? Like a 6 or a 7? There was a women’s team from a small conference a few years ago that went undefeated and was still an 8 I believe.

Line appears to have moved to NT (-2). Which is interesting. At the risk of stating the obvious I’d feel much more confident if this game were being played in Denton.

The stadium would look SO much better with the Wingzone removed.

Umass pays their coach about $150k more than we pay GM right now. We can best UMass money easy if we needed to.

This is a bit of a different gig. He theoretically no longer has a talent gap (Texas, Oklahoma) to overcome because of the salary cap. I bet he does ok.

I think it’s going to be harder to hire McCasland away than Littrell CONTINGENT upon us continuing to pay him fairly. This is home for Grant (versus a few hours away for Littrell). Also there aren’t the same barriers to entry to the playoffs as college football has. McCasland has specifically said his goal is to play for a national title here. I know that’s always the “goal”, but I love hearing one of our coaches actually verbalize that.

1) Too large based on crowds as of today but I’d like to see what a few years of this athletic administration handling the marketing and on court success will do. 2) The lighting is already there to brighten things up if the choice is made to do so. There are a lot of lights that are simply turned off. 3) I will admit I haven’t been in a TON of other college basketball arenas, but I actually find the Super Pit to be quite loud. Can only imagine what it sounds like full.

Did he really turn it around though? He had one good season with us (nearly every major contributor from that good team was recruited by the prior regime) and before you know it he’s losing by 59 to an FCS school on homecoming. As for Iowa State, was he really good for them either? He had an overall record of 56-85. That’s terrible. He was 21 games under .500 after 3 years at Iowa State and was a little under .500 for the last 9 years.
