Unfortunately this is another tally in the “blow out loss” category of away trips. There’s still nothing quite like repping the mean green in enemy territory.

Munoz misses the cut, but Ortiz with a respectable tie for 37th. Both still in top 20 for FedEx cup (very early).. Took a quick peek at the world golf rankings (which determine eligibility for certain events). Munoz at 108. Ortiz at 202. Both still too far down the list for it to be terribly beneficial, but not bad!

Volleyball sweeps La Tech 3-0. Soccer beats UTSA 1-0 for its fourth shutout win to start conference play. Both on the road. These teams would welcome some additional support and attention.

Has SMU ever sold out their stadium not playing a Texas Big 12 opponent? Real question that I'm absolutely not going to take the time to look up.

SMU would still have to get through the AAC championship game. If they even make it that far.

I laughed when the announcer said "There's PLENTY of room on the bandwagon".

Won't be shocked at all if SMU still manages to lose 3-4 games.

I think SMU has fully proven they don't belong in the top 25. Win or lose tonight.

He also brought us the most embarrassing loss in the history of D1 football. You are what your record says you are. MAC was 30 games under .500 as a HC when he was hired. Not a shock he didn’t improve on that in his time here.

I guess we just don’t get good news anymore.

She beat a ranked OU team on her first year.

That’s a little harsh. She took over a disaster of a program and has them average. Does she need to take the next step? Absolutely. But to say she hasn’t produced at all is a bit too punitive.

Mason is a fantastic quarterback. The fact he started so early, is talented, and the offense he plays in has allowed him to hold basically all of our passing records and he likely will for a long time. With that said, I think Mason is a once in a generation story. I don’t believe we will go a generation without having a QB that will match his talent/on field impact.

If/when SL does leave there is a 0% chance it is for another G5 school.
