  1. No one (well certainly I don’t) knows all the facts of what surrounded this. But from the reporting I saw, Littrell would easily have been able to spin this as “yeah, I looked, but you know what, my heart was at North Texas and I chose not to go anywhere”. It didn’t seem to phase the recruits we signed last year either. We can debate whether he is a bad/good/great coach all day, but this is hardly a Danny Mac retirement gig, take a paycheck and run the program into the ground situation sort of thing. Seth is in his early 40s and he knows that after this year to get that big P5 gig he’s going to need to build us up again. We obviously have some issues right now, but I don’t think it’s the Kansas State flirtation from last year.
  2. I wish as a fan base we would just end the debate and make a conscious effort to be chickens. It’s sort of like preaching to the choir on this board though. If you’re here, You’re probably closer to die hard than casual fan. For instance I have a group text with 4 close friends from college. They have varying levels of NT fandom but all were super into the last couple of years. All but one essentially bailed before September was over. Our fans are generally slow to buy in and quick to bail. That’s not exactly ideal.
  3. I like our chances if we can score more points than they do.
  4. Yeah man, that excuse expired a while ago....
  5. And it is why we are where we are.
  6. Well, all we have to do is outscore a 1-9 team by 3 touchdowns in the second half. I’m not worried.
  7. Under the circumstances we actually have a decent group of NT fans here.
  8. The comeback starts right now. Right. Now. Hopefully.
  9. If that’s the case would much rather them have made the move now and at least had someone make an attempt at coordinating the D for these last few games.
  10. Trying really hard to stay optimistic.
  11. Does anyone know whether we did or didn’t?
  12. This team obviously plays hard. Hoping that leads to good things as the season progresses. Right now it just feels like a bit of a mess.
  13. Massive improvement from the gray unis...which are hopefully in a dumpster somewhere.
  14. Happy offseason to...North Carolina State. 103 still alive for 78 spots. 66 already eligible.
  15. Xavier (LA).
  16. We are coming off of two nine win seasons. Our down year is probably going to end 6-6. Recruiting has picked up big time. Everything is going to be fine.
  17. Everyone say hello to #66, Buffalo. No one eliminated tonight so max is still 104 for 78 spots.
  18. 77-20 North Texas. We score 77 in 3 quarters.
  19. That’s the spirit!
  20. This thread took a weird turn with the Seth Littrell complaining...But @Withers940 is completely right. With all of the things Kade has said in the past. It’s just way more than a typical recruit. I think he wants to be here and I think he wants to be the face of this program moving to the next level. And we all want him to be that too.
  21. Why is it that as a fan base we assume a kid couldn't possibly get an offer from FSU and still sign with us? We have a lot to offer. Great facilities, close to home, a coaching staff he obviously built a relationship with. Opportunity to start from day 1 with Mason graduating. He has said that he wants to leave a legacy at North Texas. Out practicing with other commits. Et cetera. I'm hopeful that we look back on this as a monumental moment for the program when an elite quarterback, with many options, chose to come play in Denton.
  22. After tonight (both games are still going on but are essentially over): 65 are bowl eligible (Eastern Michigan joins). 104 are still alive for bowl eligibility (Northern Illinois drops out).
