At the end of the day it’s just a business like any other. “College sports” will continue trying to maximize its profit unless and until those actions begin to hurt its profit by turning off customers. As I’ve said before the NIL is definitely the right thing to do for the players, but it does destroy what was left of college sports. While some will certainly not like the shift, it’s not as if the structure of college sports is decreed from the Heavens as an absolute. Sometimes things change for better or for worse.

Good result and I hope it bodes well for the season. But it should be noted that A&M did rotate their squad a bit more. They played 4 GKs for instance. -

Good for him. Got his degree. If it became apparent he wasn’t going to be in the discussion for playing time I don’t blame him at all for leaving. You only get one shot at this so might as well find a place to play. With that said it seems very apparent based on 2.5 years to graduation that academics are important to him. So he may have somewhere specific he wants to go for grad school with no interest in waiting on that. -
U.S. Women's Amateur Golf Championships

Audrey Tan was the 52 seed exiting stroke play. The final is ultimately between the 53 and 63 seeds. Of course, it is golf, so the "seeding" after stroke play is not perfect. The pretty much consensus #1 amateur in the world was just the 30 seed exiting stroke play. -

A very “North Texas” way to start. Of course he’s managed to battle back quite a bit in this round with two birdies and an 🦅 since. -
Take Texas State. Leave Lafayette and Arky State where they are at.

We do have one US rep alum in Burgess but I can’t recall him ever doing anything terribly supportive.- 9 replies
