I couldn’t tell you how many times around this area I’ve been playing golf with the eagle logo on my hat and the people I am playing with have asked me what school that is. I would like to think that is embarrassing for them. But it also may be pretty embarrassing for us.

Wildly disappointing start for both of our golf teams.

I guess I don’t have a TON to base this on, but my observation has always been that opposing fans were pretty much left alone by our student section… Despite our student section on game days being pretty much the caricature of what SMU fans view us as. 😂

We avoid that at North Texas by the fraternities not attending the actual game.

With regard to SMU fans last night specifically, our experience was not awful, for whatever that’s worth, but we sat in the upper bowl with families and students sitting with their parents.

Well, I really didn’t think they were that bad period. At least no worse than officials always are, which is kind of my standard. That and, as you said, not overtly biased against any one team.

That’s fair.

I see a lot of “6 years in and this is what we have?” comments. Given the history of our program, where we are should be a shock to absolutely no one.

Drama level = too high.

If I truly try to put my non-biased hat on I did not think the officials were egregiously bad. I was not apoplectic about any of the calls that I had a good view of or saw on the replay screen.

While I am not terribly worked up about the band not being there (I was more concerned about our football team showing up), I’d actually say for anything within 4-5 hours it should not be a travel band, it should be the full 400 person band. It should be a travel band to every single game outside of that. Every. One. Edit: yes, I know that would be expensive. No, I do not care.

What were they supposed to say on the record? That we are unprepared, have a flailing football program and atrocious fan support?

Congrats! We need to keep reproducing our way to relevance.

1) This is actually pretty on brand for Applebee’s. 2) Have to admit, I’ve always preferred them to Chili’s.
