    If the MWC wants the Dallas market we are good either way. If SMU goes then we are a shoe in to replace them in the AAC. Otherwise it would be us to the MWC (which is my strong, strong preference).

    I don’t know why the Big 12 would do anything. They just reloaded. Anyone they could add dilutes the brand and payouts. The teams they just added do that to a lesser extent.

    All the better. I'd rather go MWC than backfill SMU in the AAC. Of course since we are North Texas we may end up in neither.

    Funny thing is, the MWC, after standing firm, may now try to raid the AAC. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they make a call to SMU.

    This is, unfortunately for us, a fantastic decision by AFA and CSU. They were already in the best remaining non-power conference. Leaving would have been massively silly.

    1988 pre-dated my North Texas involvement, but not by very much. In any event, at DKR in 2015 we maybe had 1,000 people. So something went wrong somewhere.
