    A very underrated football venue. Would be so cool to see NT play there in a sea of green. 12/21 is a Friday night so that also helps.

    I’m not sure I agree. I think the vast majority have expressed something closer to “at least we didn’t lost those games against terrible teams, but we better beat UTSA and a bowl opponent” attitude.

    Arkansas specifically reports the tickets scanned number. I am trying to remember the others I have seen. I am sure a simple FOIA request could get ours (unless North Texas asserted it was a trade secret) but I guarantee all of the chronic wild crowd over estimators on here would not be happy with the numbers.

    It’s not the game against FIU that will be used as evidence on whether SL is right for the job for another year. It’s UTSA (and if successful there) the bowl game.

    Saw it posted that this is the first conference road win for Kansas since 2008. That seems almost impossible.

    Sure. For what it’s worth I’m 99.9% confident we end the season 5-7 and the whole thing is moot. A loss to this FIU team would be bad even by our standards.

    I bet you after a 5-game win streak and knocking off a top-20 team we would be viewed as a worthy opponent.

    I’m not so sure SL isn’t coaching for his job every week. I still think the next loss does it. But if we don’t lose again this year, he’s back.

    You guys may be 8-2, but as a fellow “locked out of the P5” team like us, you know once those two losses hit you re-entered totally irrelevance in the grand scheme of things. But what’s important is that we are there together. I know that brings SMU fans great comfort.
