Dr./Coach Lowe has been around, and loyal to UNT for a long, long time. I had him as my American History (Post Civil War) Professor my freshman year of college (2007). I did not find out until midway through that he had been our men's soccer coach before the (successful) program was cut. I also found out midway through the class that he was also my dads American History professor (1973?). I expect a reply to this by meangreenbob.

I think UNT is going to win this one by 10 or so, with almost 4,000 people in the Pit! A win against FAU and a 20 win season is very much back in the picture.

I still think this is a great get for UNT! He seems to have decent speed, so hopefully we will be able to blitz more next season. He may not have had any other offers, but the coaching staff sees talent in him. Miles Austin did not even get drafted by an NFL team, and he is a star now... Go Mean Green!

We have 8 regular season game left (7 in SBC play, 1 vs. Houston Baptist). The SBC games are against a tough FAU team, a Denver team that can't win on the road, UL Lafeyette, and then 1 game each against the current 9-13 seeds in the Sun Belt Tournament. With that schedule, it is not insane to think it is very possible to go 8-0 or 7-1 over the next 8 games. FAU is the hardest game that we have left, and even if that were to be a loss, we could still hit 20 wins, and have a 12-6 record in SBC play. Go Mean Green!

I can't wait to see what Todd Dodge can do with recruiting once he has a new stadium, and some wins under his belt. He is doing a great job under the circumstances right now! Go Mean Green!

Up until recently I was positive that Shanice Stephens would be successful. She seemed to have the confidence and positive attitude that almost always increases ones potential. For this reason I do not think we should throw in the towel yet, but if we do not show some significant improvement against some of the more mediocre Sun Belt teams in the last 7 games of the season, then it might be time to explore other options.

UNT 11 MTSU 51 7:20 Left 1st Half. This leaves me absolutely speechless. Middle Tennessee is on pace to score somewhere around 160 points...I am a big proponent for Shanice Stephens getting her deserved time to build a program, but when this happens I'm not sure what to say. I just got off the phone with the Pourhouse. They told me no yesterday, but they said the WILL show it so long as their DirecTV does not go out because of the storms.

The Fox & Hound in Lewissville IS showing the game tonight!

It's a NO on the Pourhouse. They do purchase the channel, but only for March Madness. Other ideas?

It looks like in one night we could potentially move as high as the 3 seed, and as low as the 8 seed.

I called to check. The guy said he was pretty sure they get the channel, but was going to check the listings to find out. He has not gotten back to me yet with confirmation.

As far as the two game road-trip goes (at WKU, at MTSU) I see... 0 wins - very disappointing, but with a managable schedule to end the season, not back-breaking 1 win - sets us up wonderfully for the rest of the year, and give us an important tie-breaker over one of them 2 wins - obviously the best outcome, puts us in position to possibly get a bye for the first round of the tourney.

I think we can pull off the comeback. Our offense started to look better toward the end of the first half. We just need to quit throwing the ball away and actually play some defense.

That attitude is exactly why we are where we are. A 7-5 record should not be the point at which a UNT coach has "made it". Give me a break Vito.
