I don't think any conference should be bigger than 12. I would much rather have a 12 team Sun Belt than a 14 team Sun Belt. That way the scheduling does not get quirky.

Phil Mcgraw (Dr. Phil) is a UNT alumni, but only his graduate degrees are from UNT. I have heard he is a fan of UNT Basketball.

No, You aren't. I think Knox just needs more game experience to get comfortable. It does not matter if we are up by 20. He can get his experience, and then he will be comfortable coming in in a close game if we need him. There is no other player on our team that I root for personally as much as Ben Knox. He battles just as hard as anyone else out there, and that alone should at least earn the respect of the fans.

The only times our attendance is ever under 2500 is during Christmas break...mostly...

Prior to today Texas led the series 7-0 with all previous meetings being in Austin.

We no longer play USA. We play FIU. I am pretty sure the original bracket has us playing south Alabama. Maybe we can get the SBC to revisit the mens bracket...

I am not sure who told us that, It was right when we came on campus in 2007. But we were just about to make the shirts when we were told we could not put "North Texas" on them. I know that makes no sense but that is what happened. Maybe we just should have done it without asking...I'll let the guy who gets out t-shirts made know that we should be able to make them.

The only fraternity that might be wearing garnet is Pi Kappa Alpha, the one I am in. The reason for this is because it is an alumni event and we want to stand out to alumni...I advised against this, saying it would be better to wear green, but I am not the president. Nevertheless, almost our whole fraternity will be there, and so will many alumni!

Not a shade of pink. Try a quick google search broski. . Its more like maroon. It is just one of our fraternity colors, but like I said, I told them to wear green! Emmit, we do still have the North Texas Greeks shirts, but they are completely generic, no individual letters on them. Last year we tried to make green "North Texas Pikes" shirts to wear to athletic events, but the University would not let us becuase of licensing problems.

It is very true that there will be lots of greeks. I have talked to at least one guy I know in every fraternity telling them it would be a great brotherhood event. My fraternity (Pi Kappa Alpha) is actually doing an alumni event at the game. I tried to convince them to wear green, but I think most will be wearing Garnet...at least they will be there. I will be wearing green! The usual group of parents and girlfriend will be there with me!

Ovechkin vs. Crosby in the Olympics will be fun to watch. I'm pulling for Russia, I don't want the USA to have to face a mad Canada in the final.

I heard from a friend that the University scheduled Cornell West as a guest lecturer the same time as the game. Apparently the auditorium building (1500 seats) is almost sold out. Not sure the two events pull from the same group of people, but the university really seems to drop the ball scheduling sometimes, although this one may have not been avoidable. Anyways, just keep spreading the word, and maybe some of those 1500 will come to the game!!!

I'm talking to everyone that I know in greek life to try and get them out. Everyone just needs to spread the word!
