The game @ Texas State is the same day as the last game ever at Fouts Field vs. KSU (Nov. 27th). I was going to go to this game as well but can't bring myself to miss the last game at Fouts.

I'm with you on this. If I had to pick either baseball or men's soccer, I would have to go with baseball. However, after years and years of near perfect title IX compliance, I think that we should just go ahead and add both.

The smu game is definitely a great game to tailgate for. The other major home match is against a high quality New Mexico team on Sep. 5th that hopefully many of you can make it out to. These games really are a lot of fun. I'll never forget when we beat oklahoma in overtime a couple years ago in front of 1200 people, of which a high percentage were Mean Green fans.

UNT takes the win 2-1!

UNT GOAL! 76th minute. Julie Lackey scores on an assist from Ellen Scarfone. Scarfone lobbed a pass over the MSU back line. The ball bounced pretty high and lackey headed it right over the head of the out charging keeper into the back of the net.

69th minute: Still 1-1. Teams are taking a water break. Missouri State is strong defensively. The only real scoring chance of the second half for UNT so far was a wild scramble in front of goal after MSU failed to clear a corner.

1-1 at the half from the UNT Soccer Field. Missouri State took the lead in the second minute after our clearance was stopped by a blatant uncalled handball. Play was allowed to continue and the ball was in the net within ten seconds. UNT found the equalizer in the 16th minute on a goal by Michelle Young. After a great through ball she was left one on one with the keeper down the left flank. Her left footed finish cut across the keeper and goalface into the far side netting. UNT is lacking the edge they had Friday, probably due to the heat and a more talented opponent. Our finishing at this point appears to be much better than last year though.

Great Start for Mean Green Soccer. Kelsey Hodges netted a hat trick in the first game of her career (two break aways and a very impressive header off a corner in the second half). Overall Great game. Four football players will attempt to put down 8 pounds of chicken fried steak, a lot of mashed potatoes, and 10 slices of Texas Toast. It will be taking place Friday afternoon at the Cowtown Diner in Fort Worth. The show will air in the fall. If I have time I am going to try to make it down there for the filming! It is the Mexican students right to wave whatever flag they want, but if they feel more allegiance to the Mexican flag, than the American flag, I would just rather them leave. People that come here just to take all they can from this country without ever returning the favor with their allegiance piss me off beyone belief. When the United States soccer team plays Mexico ALMOST anywhere in the US, it is an away game for the Americans. It is rediculous. It may be "just soccer", but with how much it means in their culture, it shows a great disrespect for the country that gives them so much. On top of that American fans get taunted and disrespected for rooting for their team in the OWN country. It may seem off topic, but its just another instance of this sort of thing in CA.

On the website for the Dallas march it specifically says to bring American flags. It is too bad they have to be told to do it instead of just doing it because they want to be Americans...
