  1. USA by 16! Durant nails 2 three pointers in a row to start the second half.
  2. I think the reason people are upset is because we lost ANOTHER close game. If we had pulled out the win last night people, including me, would believe that Dodge has finally convinced these guys that they CAN win. We proved that we have the talent to win, but at this point, it is becoming apparent that there is a bigger problem. We are not losing half, or even a slight majority of these close games, we are losing ALL of them. Don't get me wrong, I am not jumping ship at all, but I am very, very worried that this coaching staff is incapable of fostering a culture of winning. It is not a coincidence that none of these close games go our way. I used to think that, but year after year this happens. YES, we do not get blown out very often anymore, but these close games have revealed a deeper and more serious problem. Go Mean Green!
  3. Yeah, I believe he has 20 points, and 5 of 8 from 3-point range. The rest of the team is 1 for 13. Turkey is starting to look a little better. USA up 40-31. 24 seconds left 1st half.
  4. 25-17 USA over Turkey in the championship game. 9:22 left 2nd quarter.
  5. 3-0 Final. Mean Green Win!
  6. Michelle Young adds a goal to make it 3-0.
  7. Kelsey Perlman scored two first half goals to put UNT up 2-0 against Lamar at the half in Lubbock.
  8. There is Derrick Teagarden...
  9. The students will respond to wins, and only wins. If we come back 2-2 we will get a good crowd. The tough part of that is actually coming back 2-2, like UNTBill said. Regardless, having to talk about crap like this is really getting old. One of these days we will expect a sellout every game.
  10. I really, really hope not.
  11. Hopefully he can convince some of his new Kimball friends to come up to UNT.
  12. Wow, we absolutely destroyed SMU in attendance today! As for us, to match our student turnout for the next home game, I think we are really going to have to win the next 2 on the road, and come back 2-2. 1-3 is not going to cut it to get the students out like they were today.
  13. I looked at the schedule a few minutes ago, and I see 6 wins. When the season started I saw 7, tonight was supposed to be one of them. If Dodge ends up with 6 wins, that leaves RV with a really tricky decision.
  14. Great start USA!! After seeing what Lithuania did to Argentina though, we need to stay sharp the whole game.
  15. Does he have to stay at Paris for 2 years, or can he go for 1 and then transfer back?
  16. Is there anyone out there worth getting?..or of the caliber of Mcghee?
  17. This emoticon pretty much sums up how my head felt when I saw the name of this topic.
  18. Texas Tech wins 1-0. I did not get to watch the game, but since Tech is ranked right around #30 in the country, I think we may have a pretty good team.
  19. The video feed (link above) is FREE!
  20. Hey guys, there may be a free video feed for the UNT vs. TT game tonight. I am not positive, but it does not say a premium membership is required, and does not ask for a login like the ones labeled "premium." Here is the link: Possible Game Video If that does not work here is a link to the live stats if anyone is interested: Live Stats Not sure if I am going to be able to follow this one tonight...the girlfriend wants to go to Clark Park for the Pep Rally. I'm not sure whether I would rather watch the soccer game or go to the Pep Rally. I may not have a choice. Go Mean Green!
  21. North Texas Soccer will be competing in the Red Raider Classic this weekend. Live Stats will be available on the Texas Tech website. The two opponents for the Mean Green are Texas Tech (Friday at 7:30pm) and Lamar (Sunday at 11:00am). The other team competing is Oral Roberts. UNT currently sits at 4-1-1, and is coming off a hard fought tie with a New Mexico who at the time (not anymore) was receiving top 25 votes. Our next opponent is on the current list of vote-getters... Texas Tech: The Red Raiders currently sit at 5-1-0, with their only loss coming to third ranked Notre Dame (2-0). They are currently receiving votes in the NSCAA national top 25 poll. TT completely shut out their opponents in its first five games, outscoring them 13-0. This may be an even tougher game for UNT than UNM, although, Texas Tech did lose 2-1 to New Mexico in a preseason game. Last Meeting: 2009 - UNT beat the Red Raiders in OT here in Denton, 2-1. Lamar: Lamar is 2-2-0 on the year. Losses to Louisiana Tech, and Louisiana-Lafeyette. One of their wins was a 2-1 victory over a Prairie View A&M team that UNT beat 6-0 earlier this year in Las Cruces. With their only other win against Texas-Brownsville, I think UNT should be able to handle this one. Last Meeting: 2008 - UNT beat the cardinals 2-0 in Denton. All in all this should be a fun weekend of soccer! After these two games its UNT vs. SMU next Friday at the Mean Green Soccer Field!
  22. Whoa, I just though it was funny that your screen name was also Rudy...I wasn't accusing you of anything. I apologize if it came across like that. I certainly was not insinuating that you should not be proud of yourself. I never even played football so...
  23. I always pictured him in a helicopter.
  24. Are you sure you aren't a little biased.......Rudy?
  25. There are at least 10 people I have talked to that usually sit in the parking lot all game and drink, that are actually excited to come in a watch because we looked good against Clemson.
