Flyer, you are 100% right, broken down a little more, this is what I see the situation to be. Assuming we make to LA still having a shot at the supporters shield, they will have lost by at least one goal, and we will have one by at least one goal, which will tie the goal differential...so a 1-0 win in LA will suffice to win the shield...IF they lose to Colorado, and we beat RSL at Rio Tinto Stadium.
For those of you who are fans of the Concacaf Champions League, it is of the utmost importance that we at least move past RSL in the stadings to raise our chances of qualification (in addition to hosting the SECOND leg of the playoff series). RSL has to play away to a good Colorado team in the final game of the season, but because a tie against RSL would put them two ahead of us, it is necessary to win against RSL or LA to move into second place.
