Honestly, I don't think there is much difference between 56-7 and 49-7. This definitely makes the close loss to Troy look a little less impressive.

We should have a good student crowd. A lot of people still have classes on Wednesday. I tink we will bouce back strong after the KU loss and take out our frustrations on Rice.

He may not be "Europe good," but he is the engine that makes the FCD offense go. He has had a part in 5 of the 6 goals scored this postseason by Dallas. I believe his current salary is around $300,000. The money I was referring to was transfer fee it will likely take to "purchase" him from the Brazilian club...unless they are cool with just extending the loan.

This loss really does not upset me for some reason. I know that we have a good season ahead of us despite taking a good beating inside Allen Fieldhouse. As far as the students, I doubt they will be discouraged, and if they are, I am sure that rattling off a couple wins at home will bring them back into the Super Pit pretty quickly.

Sun Belt Volleyball Tournament

MTSU wins the match 3-1. Great Season by our team though! Co-west division championship, and then we beat the team we shared the title with in the first round of the tournament. The team won their first Vball tournament game since 2006, and put up a good fight against a MTSU team that only dropped 1 SBC game all season. Coach Murczek has a great recruiting class coming in as well. I never saw the final numbers, but for most of the year we led the SBC in attendance as well, including 697 for our final home game. This program is on the way up! Go Mean Green! -

MTSU took the first two sets (25-17,25-15), but North Texas bounced back and took set #3 (25-23). UNT is currently down 11-10 in set #4. -
Never say never with Josh White...he's got game.

If we lose by more than 20 I'll be disappointed. If we lose by less than 20 I'll be satisfied. If we lose by less than 10 I'll be thrilled. If we WIN...my mind will be completely and utterly blown into a state of Mean Green Euphoria.

That's pretty much what my girlfriend said last night when I told her Mangrum played for SMU now... -

The stat that they have about the 47 year drought against ranked teams is wrong...credit to my dad MeanGreenBob for pointing this out. UNT (then NTSU) defeated Louisville 79-73 in Louisville on February 27, 1971. Louisville Media Guide The information is on page 178. At that time, Louisville was ranked #15 in the AP Poll. 2/23/1971 AP Poll There may be more instances like this, but it appears our winless drought is not quite as bad as the KU article makes it out to be. He played his butt off for North Texas, including a lot of times where he played injured. I am happy for him that still gets to play D1 basketball, and hope he has a lot of success every night that SMU takes the court and loses. It is kind of weird seeing him in an SMU jersey, but hey, at least he did not go to Rice. It would be really weird to see him play for a different team in the Super Pit. We know SMU will not be coming to Denton anytime soon. -

The final scoreline is (25-15,25-21,25-21). It says ASU won 3-0 in one place, and that UNT won 3-0 in another. The names match up to be a UNT victory, but still not positive. The Sun Belt is confusing. Edit: It's official! UNT wins 3-0 and will face #1 seed MTSU at 7:30 tomorrow! -

Whichever team won the first set won the second set 25-21. I'm 90% sure it is us, and they have the team names switched...unless Amy Huddleston transfered to Arkansas State before the game... -

North Texas took the first set 25-15...leading 16-10 in set 2. EDIT: The Live Stats may be wrong...they have ASU up 1-0 but show NT winning the first set. I'm trying to sort it out. EDIT AGAIN: After reading through the play by play it appears that the scores above are correct, but I am not 100% sure. They must have accidentally given the set to ASU on the scoreboard. -
North Texas just started their game vs. Arkansas State. Here is a link to the live stats: Live Stats UNT vs. ASU is the 4/5 matchup, with ASU holding the higher seed. So far today, the higher seed has won every game 3-0. #2 WKU 3-0 #7 ULL #3 FIU 3-0 #6 Denver #1 MTSU 3-0 #8 USA The winner of the UNT/ASU game plays MTSU tomorrow. Go Mean Green!

Despite all that, our attendance in all sports would increase. We win 5 football games in 3 years, and we get 23,000 fans for Rice. We are not doing terrible in the SBC, but for name recognition of opponents, CUSA would be a step up...plus it would force SMU to play us in all sports, which whether they admit it or not, would be a positive for both schools (assuming SMU was still in CUSA).

Thanks, I must have either missed it, or the teaser for the article was just really non-descriptive. I have a gut feeling Guerrero will go somewhere else, but that's not really based on anything except for my want for him to go somewhere else.
