  1. WKU up 60-49 with 11 minutes left. The officiating has been pretty bad...touch fouls galore on UNT.
  2. Wku hit a 3 at the buzzer to lead it 33-30 at the half.
  3. 23-21 WKU 3:54 left 1st half.
  4. 18-16 WKU 7:03 left first half.
  5. 12-11 NT. 11:52 left 1st half. A loud NT crowd for it's size here in Hot Springs.
  6. Baby Steps. The SBC just now figured out how to properly seed the tournament according to their own rules...
  7. It's usually better to just play it safe and leave anything like that out... . That's what I do at least.
  8. 12:00 Noon Summit Arena I probably won't be able to update this as the game goes on (I'll try), but I figured they deserve a game thread. They only lost by 5 @WKU earlier in the year and led at halftime, so I really do think we have a shot to win this one. The girls have shown they have some talent, but (like the FIU men) the coaching is a major negative. It would be awesome if they could pull out a win. See you in Hot Springs, and Go Mean Green!
  9. Surely CBL was talking about Ben Knox... It's ok Ben, we'll make sure you don't get snubbed for the 2010-2020 all-decade team.
  10. For what it's worth, my dad and I sat at the very top of the arena for the second half of the women's game vs. Denver (just for the heck of it) last Saturday, and it appears that the same types of lights they use to light the court (maybe not the same wattage) are all the way around the "upper deck" as well. They were all turned off. I didn't notice it at the time, but those lights were turned on when George Bush spoke at UNT the night after the TT game in November. The Super Pit was very bright, and looked extremely good.
  11. I guess the only thing we know for sure is that we aren't going down without a fight. We are very talented and dangerous for the seed we have, and no one is going to want to play us, or WKU for that matter.
  12. I'm not convinced ASU is going to make it out of the bottom half of the bracket. For some reason my gut is telling me South Alabama will. Of course, I could be completely wrong. The tourney is such a crazy toss up this year.
  13. We need to hope for other teams with first round games to continue advancing. It would not surprise me one bit if we ended up playing WKU if we get past Troy and FAU.
  14. We have filters already...and we need to get rid of them immediately.
  15. They could wear kilts this season, but as long as they are winning football games, I wouldn't care.
  16. This does not change your point (which is a good one), but K-State was a 2 for 1. 2008 - Manhattan, KS 2010 - Denton, TX 2012 - Manhattan, KS
  17. That sounds familiar to me as well, but I cannot find it anywhere. It appears that Tennessee plays UNC, NC-State, and Troy in 2012. Hopefully they or us drop the game. 6 home games really needs to be where the bar is set from here on out.
  18. I'm going to assume they are a package deal. I think now that we have the new stadium, K-State is one of the Big-12 schools we can compete with in recruiting.
  19. If Tony Mitchell steps on the floor I will expect to win the SBC Tournament. If he stays more than 1 year, and we have another good recruiting class, I will expect a lot more.
  20. Of course I have my favorites, but as long as the other two OOC games in 2012 are at home, I won't be complaining. 2013 we will be good: @Georgia, Ball State, Ohio, Army But in 2014, hopefully RV can shift some things around to get us to 6 home games. Right now 2014 is: @Texas, SMU, @Army, @Tulsa. I'm not sure if there is any wiggle room in that. Tulsa is scheduled to come to Denton in 2015. It would really be a downer though to only have 5 home games.
  21. I know that FAU is good and it will be a tough game, but I really see the game (if it happens) as a toss-up. They will be a very long way from home, on a week long layoff, playing in front of very few fans. Actually, the last part should make them feel right at home.
  22. Just for the record, the womens team plays in the first game of the tournament at 12:00 noon on Saturday against WKU. I know all of the dissatisfaction with Shanice Stephens, but if you can, try and make it there for the game. The players could use the support. They may not have had a lot of success so far this year, but they have not given up yet.
  23. I like that we are avoiding the absolutely huge crowd ASU is going to have. We looked very, very rusty last year when we played ULM (the game thread was beyond epic), so maybe playing on Saturday will be good for us.
  24. I personally think that we can catch WKU. MTSU is likely going to be out of reach for this year. It would help out a lot if we had baseball and men's tennis. A great start to catching WKU would be for our women's basketball team to beat them in the tourney on Saturday. Because of the mix of regular season and tournament finish, WKU and UNT would then get close to the same poins for women's basketball and we would not take such a hit. We will make up some points in women's tennis, and softball, but we really need a good showing in outdoor track. I think what we will see is UNT jump ahead of WKU going into baseball and their baseball finish will determine who gets the #2 spot. I could be completely wrong though.
