  1. North Texas - 55 Texas State - 43 2:23 left. NT Timeout.
  2. North Texas - 54 Texas State - 42 3:25 left.
  3. North Texas - 47 Texas State - 34 7:50 left.
  4. North Texas - 39 Texas State - 27 Around 11:40 left. Really nice run from NT. NT ball out of the Timeout.
  5. North Texas - 32 Texas State - 27 15:27 left.
  6. North Texas - 30 Texas State - 23 18:21 left 2nd half. Timeout Texas State.
  7. Also, Texas State is in moderate foul trouble.
  8. North Texas - 24 Texas State - 21 Halftime. North Texas ended the 1st half on an 11-2 run..
  9. North Texas - 19 Texas State - 19 2:55 left 1st half. 6-0 NT run out of the timeout by Karen Aston. NT draws the charge and will have the ball out of the TO. Sounds like a good NT crowd down there too!
  10. North Texas - 13 Texas State - 19 NT calls TO to stop the TSU run. We have 10 turnovers and no offense.
  11. North Texas - 12 Texas State - 15 7:02 left 1st half. Extremely ugly game...like really, really ugly. Texas State has hit 4 three pointers. Jasmine Godbolt shooting two on the other side of the timeout.
  12. North Texas - 10 Texas State - 9 11:19 left 1st half. Very ugly game so far. Torru has 8 for NT.
  13. North Texas - 6 Texas State - 3 15:32 left 1st half.
  14. Game tips off at 7:00 in San Marcos. Texas State is 3-1 as well, with two of the wins coming against non-D1 competition. Against D1 competition, they have a 5 point win away to UTPA, and an 8 point loss at home to Air Force. I'll for sure be listening on the radio. Go Mean Green!
  15. I was at the Sherman/Waxahachie game last night. Waxahachie led 35-21 with about 8 minutes left and lost 38-35. Four turnovers on their last four possessions. Well, at least it got a game for Apogee. I doubt Waxahachie/Rockwall Heath would have played there.
  16. I saw two very evenly matched teams. We happened to be the road team, which gave the edge to Tech. I'm not worried yet. We get T-Mitch before the SBC season starts, and really, this year, conference play is all that matters. We have a tough schedule this fall, and lots of road games that are going to toughen up the team a little bit. Expecting to win is great, but Tech is not an inferior team, and we had to play in Lubbock.
  17. Well, the loss is a little disappointing because we were leading at the half, but watching the game it was obvious that Oral Roberts was the more talented team. They had one player, #15, that just had unbelievable body control for a women's player. They were faster, and taller. Oral Roberts could be better than any team in the SBC, even MTSU or UALR. They beat Wisconsin by 17 a few days ago in Wisconsin. This team is heading in the right direction, and that is obvious, only three games in.
  18. Crap. I didn't notice that conflict. I'm leaning toward the men's game, but watching us beat SMU sure would be nice as well.
  19. They were picked 4th in the Mountain West behind TCU, SDSU, and Colorado State. Preseason polls don't mean much, but this does seem like a very solid win. Oral Roberts on Wednesday will be the toughest test of the season so far.
  20. This should be in the Basketball Forum and not Athletics...
  21. Touche.
  22. The tiebreaker is irrelevant. For the third SBC bowl, the game gets to choose from the "pool" of SBC bowl eligible teams (assuming the AQ conferences don't fill one of the spots). The BBVA Compass bowl, if they do need a Sun Belt team, has no obligation to take the third place team...they will take whoever will sell the most tickets.
  23. That one is filled up already. CUSA #3 vs. MWC #4.
  24. New Orleans gets first pick of any Bowl Eligible Sun Belt team (this year, Go Daddy gets it next year). If New Orleans does not take the winner, then the GoDaddy.com Bowl is obligated to do so. The New Orleans Bowl will be inviting ULL, which means ASU will be invited to Mobile. The third bowl, the BBVA Compass Bowl is a secondary tie in. If the AQ conference cannot fill their spot, that bowl has their pick of any SBC bowl eligible team, which right now is FIU, with WKU and NT a possibility. I have to believe if all three end up eligible, regardless or record, their wish list will be WKU, NT, then FIU, going off of potential ticket sales. WKU and NT also provide a better story to market than an FIU team with a non-existent fan base that fell off the football map in the middle of the year after starting undefeated.
  25. 1) There are only 55 bowl eligible teams right now, and 34 still have a mathematical chance of getting to 6. 2) The SBC no longer has a tie to the Little Caesars Bowl. 3) The SBC has a secondary tie in with the BBVA Compass Bowl if the Big East does not have 5 bowl eligible teams, or if the SEC does not have 9. The Big East currently has 3 with the prospect of 6 more mathematically. The SEC currently has 6 with the prospect of 5 more mathematically. 4)Military Academies losing is good for our Bowl Hopes. For instance, Army has a 2011 tie in to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco. They will be unable to fill that committment. The ACC #9 is a secondary agreement for that bowl. The ACC currently has 6, with 3 more mathematically possible. The possibilities are out there, we just need things to fall our way.
