  1. Anyone know where he ended up?
  2. Yes, having her live in Jonesboro, Arkansas where no one will ever hear from her again.
  3. During graduation today, sitting in the Super Pit, all I could think about was Tony Mitchell playing basketball on Sunday.

  4. I'm glad you enjoyed the reference.
  5. I really think this at least warrants an explanation, at least to MGC members. This is just unacceptable. It is a step backwards to go back to 5 home games, particularly the quality of games. At least ULM's one OOC home game is Baylor.
  6. I thought he WAS Doh....
  7. Really? My guess would be Mat McBriar. I hear he has been involved in some shady stuff in the past...like kangaroo boxing.
  8. Me too. There had been murmurs for a while that we were trying to fix it, and then the seemingly (at least to an extent) credible rumors coming out of Houston that we weren't playing them anymore. That makes it even more disappointing. If it means getting out of the Houston game to have another home game, freakin do it. I'm not sure how the Athletic Department does not see this as a priority. How are they going to get anyone not directly affilitated with NT (and some that are for that matter) to buy season tickets when Texas Southern is the only OOC game, and then the Sun Belt. I know we go to see NT play and not the other teams, but that's not how the general public thinks yet.
  9. Sun Belt schools with 6 home games: 1. FIU (Louisville and Akron) 2. USA (UTSA and Nicholls State) 3. ULL (Tulane and FCS) 4. Troy (Miss. State and Navy) 5. ASU (Memphis and Alcorn St.) 6. WKU (Austin Peay and Souther Miss) Middle Tennessee is unknown, ULM plays Baylor at home with 3 road games. FAU is unknown. That leaves NT with a home game against Texas Southern and then the Sun Belt.
  10. Yep, Congress is the poster child for leadership, efficiency, and lack of corruption.
  11. According to Vito, NT will still play @ Houston next year. He says both NT and Houston confirmed it, which is only interesting, because Houston fans were nearly positive the game had been cancelled. Only 5 home games in the new stadium is 100% embarrassing Buy out of one of the freakin money games. We aren't so broke we need both of them. Give me a freakin break.
  12. The longer he is at SMU the better...
  13. How the heck did we even find this kid?
  14. Mike Leach is pure class.
  15. Did he play basketball at Xavier or Cincinnati?
  16. Sam Johnson from Denton Ryan sticks out to me on that list. Sure would suck to lose him to ASU or ULM.
  17. Listening to ASU fans blabber about this hire for the next 8 months is going to get old real fast...I'm glad they are coming to Denton next year.
  18. Good name for an Austin area NT women's basketball fan club...The Austin Astons.
  19. Frank Erwin Center Austin, TX 7:00pm Texas leads series 10-0 Despite a 1-2 week (against stiff competition though), NT remained at #29 in the mid-major poll. The three games in 5 days were brutal, but Karen Aston offered no excuses. Texas is ranked #24 in the country. Hopefully our Austin area alumni show up to this game in force to support a highly improved team that (by the looks of it) will contend for the SBC title. This year, Texas has only lost to Stanford and Tennessee. Mean Green Sports Preview Go Mean Green!
  20. An FIU win would have been good for the belt, but....Isaiah Thomas can suck it.
  21. So it really makes no difference whether he is "released" or not?
  22. If he is granted the release does he still have to sit for a year?
  23. Can we please get out of the Sun Belt?

    1. Green P1

      Green P1

      No. Next question?

  24. It's not. His situation at Auburn was deteriorating, and he got out while he could. The other HC offers were not there for Mahlzahn this year. That doesn't make it a bad hire, although if it turns out mediocre, it will be funny.
