  1. Including the game against us at home?
  2. What? You're kidding right? 1. Winning an NCAA tournament game (or two) would be huge for the program in the long run. 2. You act as if he wouldn't be a top NBA pick if he stuck around another year...He could stay one more year, get better, raise his draft stock (in addition to entering a less talented draft), and possibly double the money he gets from the first two years of his contract.
  3. I actually think their women's team is a little underrated.
  4. At the very least it helps the perception of the program to have a 5* athlete. We are going after another 5* at Kimball right now...he won't be able to look at NT and say that no 5* athlete would ever think about playing for them. Plus, Tony will have North Texas by his name for his entire NBA career.
  5. When you have great academic institutions like Northwestern, and military academies like Air Force after him, he must be a great kid. Surprised he is only a 2 star with that offer list. Looks like it would be a great pickup. Hopefully the rumors are true.
  6. Agree. I'll always wish him the best. It's not like he didn't try, it just didn't work out for him at NT. No reason to dislike the guy.
  7. The numbers of their record are the only reason they are getting votes. I don't see them competing with top 25 teams...UCLA doesn't count in my opinion. Whether or not the rest of the Sun Belt respects us is irrelevant to me.
  8. The kids dad played for SMU. This isn't a big steal or anything. Once I found that out, I knew he would be gone...I would have ditched SMU for NT in a second if given the option. That would have required me being a college level athlete though. That's purely hypothetical, and I never even considered SMU. I prefer earning an education.
  9. Center Back Goerge John is on loan from FC Dallas to West Ham for a couple months. At the end of that period, West Ham has the option to sign him under contract.
  10. Look at the rookie salary pay scale. Unless he cracks the top 15 or so, he could essentially stay another year and make an extra $4 million for himself over two years. He is good, but I'm not sure why people truly expect him to jump ship. He seems to be having fun here, and waiting to not only raise his stock, but enter a less talented draft could make him a lot of extra money. EDIT: If he does leave, Chris and Jordans absense will have a lot to do with it...which is painful on so many levels.
  11. Highly overrated, but I sure as heck hope they get that ranking for when they come to the Super Pit.
  12. Any chance that Rice switching is the one the NT coaches knew about...the longer this goes with Walling the more I think he may stick. Although, he has not taken an official visit to SMU yet...I believe he is going this weekend, in which case our coaches should pull the offer...that is too close to signing day to let a recruit string you along.
  13. Dear NBA, Nothing to see here. Carry on. Check back after next season. Thanks, - Matt
  14. Not to nitpick, but Memphis isn't a BCS school. Feel free to delete this if you so choose all powerful moderator of the basketball recruiting forum.
  15. That kind of hard hitting reporting only happens in the BCS conferences...
  16. That would be insanely fun, but makes way too much sense.
  17. Leo Thomas could make everything better.

  18. No. He never enrolled at Missouri. He isn't classified as a transfer, he just ended up here.
  19. Tony Mitchell WAS NOT a transfer.
  20. With all of the redshirts and young Offensive Lineman we have, we can afford to have a Sam Riceless recruiting class.
  21. It would be nice to hang on to all of them, but more for perception than anything. Lafrance is the only loss that I think hurts us at all.
