On may 1st the SBC released the dates and hosts for the 2012-2013 champioships. I know there was chatter about the SBC tourney being moved, but it looks like Benson was forced to wait until after next year. I highly doubt our basketball players care what color skin the new head coach has as long as he can lead them to victory. Fran is the best option on the table right now unless there is a name we do not know about.

Just personal preference. I think its basically a toss up, so I'll always take the one that is the closer drive.

It took SMU so long to find a coach because no one wanted their millions of dollars to ruin their coaching career. Larry Brown gets to show up for a couple years, put in no effort and he can finance the rest of his life at "The Villages - Florida's Friendliest Hometown".

Racist. Serious question though? If Patton were to leave it would have to be for a professional league somewhere right? He does not have another year to sit on a bench somewhere, and I think the automatic eligibility thing is a big misunderstanding somewhere.

I'll take La Tech over Lafayette every day of the week. If I could pick for CUSA it would be NT, La Tech, Texas State, and FIU.

Probably because he had been at Wake for 8 years without a real breakout season, however when the salary info becomes available it will paint more of the picture for us.

Speaking of former OU coaches, Kelvin Sampson has a very impressive resume...I doubt we could lure him away from the Houston Rockets though, and he comes with a dumpster full of baggage. EDIT: Apparently I wasnt the first on here to think that...

I don't see that is a problem...it just cant be our ONLY OOC home game.

Larry Brown is a big name, but I have a hard time believing he cares at all about SMU hoops. He'll cash a few paychecks and be done with it.

Give me TSU over UTSA any day of the week. I do want one of them though...I really do not care if they've paid their dues or not, they'll catch up to the pack soon enough and it will be an instant rivalry.

As for those slam-dunk resumes,I'm still hoping that Vito reports soon that Matt Daniel is being considered for the women's position. He mentioned Daniel a little while back, and even quoted him if I remember right, but haven't heard anything since.

This is a really simple decision for those in charge. Just do it. And freaking hire Matt Daniel to coach the women.
