  1. http://www.texastech.com/allaccess/?media=329250 North Texas took the first set 25-20. Hopefully that link works.
  2. Fair point. However, if you look at their athletic programs across the board, neither one is leaps and bounds above the other. Both finish near the bottom of the Bubas cup year after year. I'm glad that we have the opportunity to distance ourselves from both.
  3. Not sure how anyone could tell the difference...
  4. So.....Idaho?
  5. I remember reading something awhile back about the highest seed in the pod that doesn't make it to NYC hosting a consolation bracket? Is that true? We would be the #2 seed in the bracket if it turns out to be a D2 school. Of course, making it to NYC would be better.
  6. Lafayette or Monroe?
  7. If anyone didn't think we had a shot to beat UH, they would be conceding that Texas State is better than NT....which is absurd.
  8. I don't see the harm in posting the tweets here...
  9. Good Point. I actually didn't even think about them. What I meant by Sun Belt are the group of teams we've been playing for years that we want nothing to do with anymore. TSU (the sun belt version) could become a decent OOC rivalry.
  10. If it is a easy win FCS team, that is fine with me. Even the BCS schools do this. As for Sun Belt schools, just say no to that garbage.
  11. 9/7 @ Ohio 9/14 vs. Ball State. No season opener at home until 2015 (unless the season starts August 31 next year)...but that is Tulsa, which will likely change. Surely we can't go 20 years without a season opener at home....can we?
  12. I didn't notice the LBSU game was the only one in College Station.
  13. The undefeated soccer team plays Baylor at home that night...
  14. I'd like to see us put up 84 on TSU.
  15. With another full year of student orientations at Apogee Stadium under our belt, I think we will continue to see a rise in student attendance. That really drives the bus as far as our numbers go, as "alumni" (in this case referring to non-students) attendance has seemed pretty steady. I have to believe we will get above 22k. If we manage to get a few wins under our belt before the ULL game, I think that one may be huge.
  16. This is not about over or understimating anybody. If we are not further along than TSUSM, it is an embarassment. That is the reality. I do not buy the "oh, well they're a good FBS start-up" BS. I can't wait to get down to Houston.
  17. Considering TSUSM beat them, it will be embarassing if we do not win.
  18. No one likes losing. It sucks. That doesn't mean the team didn't show vast improvement over previous years playing similar teams.
  19. I will be shocked if we are the only team they beat by 27 this year.
  20. Oregon's offense is unreal.
  21. That obviously means the Houston game is more winnable than we thought it was.
  22. ...only because we kept hurting Mettenberger.
  23. This is the closest we have played a ranked opponent since the 27-0 loss to Texas in 2003 or 2004...at least I think.
  24. That's a valid point. They are both threats. I'd still rather the SBC lose. The NT/UTSA game could turn in to an awesome rivalry that could be bettered by both teams being good. I still hope we destroy them every time we play.
