I still have not seen the actual email, but apparently this did really happen. NT likely to appeal. Absolutely absurd decision, but not surprised that a bunch of morons in Austin would come to it. Still hoping this is some sort of misunderstanding.

Do we have any NT staff members on here? I have heard that the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board might have voted down the union fee despite it being approved by a majority of students. It might have been sent out in an email to staff. I'm hoping this is not true, but this is the first place I thought to come to to find out if any staffers had heard this. If this is true, its time we all get together and protest this and tell Austin to quit voting to hold us back. They did the same thing with our athletic fee that they only let be applied to the stadium and then automatically terminate. Has anybody else heard anything about this. P.S. I know this may get moved, but this is an extremely important issue for the University.

MTSU and WKU tied 1-1 tonight leaving NT, FIU, and MTSU all on 25 points. My assumption (although the Sun Belt doesn't have it posted anywhere) is that we go head-to-head to figure out the champion. The results from the head to head matchups between the three teams are: NT - 4 points (win over MTSU, tie vs. FIU) MTSU - 3 points (win over FIU, loss to NT) FIU - 1 point (loss to MTSU, tie vs. NT) Derek Thompson has congratulated the soccer team on Twitter, so he must be thinking the same thing.

This win DID NOT clinch the conference title. NT leads the conference race and can clinch with a win @ WKU next week. We control our own destiny with one game remaining. We tied FIU, which is the only blemish on our record, but that also means that anything less than a win at WKU means MTSU (whose only blemish is a loss to us) could also win the championship.

I suppose you're right that 0% may be a bit harsh...I will not get my hopes up at 6-6 though. We need to make some serious statements moving forward this year to get noticed and it starts tonight.

How many of those were automatic conference tie ins, and of the ones who were not automatic tie ins, how many were from non-power conferences?

There's a 0% chance of us getting picked for a bowl game at 6-6 unless there is a shortgage of spots, or one of the openings happens to be in the metroplex. If we were selling out the football stadium, then maybe it would be different.

Six wins won't get us in to a bowl...its going to have to be 7-5 or better...or we can just win out, take the Sun Belt title and peace out to CUSA.

This is an important game because if we win, we are back in the running for a winning season, whereas if we lose, that possibility is pretty much dead. The fact that is is happening in front of a small national TV audience is a bonus.

Didn't you get the memo that questioning anything about anything was frowned upon?

This is actually a different one done by the San Antonio Paper. The Best in Texas Poll (which is the one that is actually a poll) is done by the Dallas Morning News. WE just happen to be #6 in both.

Most of the CUSA schools sucking it up are moving to the Big East next year...that is something the fans of other schools in the Sun Belt talking trash about CUSA don't seem to understand. An example of the Sun Belt plans claiming Texas State over Houston to be a victory for the SBC over CUSA...faulty logic.

Correct. I see no way this crowd is under 25,000, with a win in the home opener, good showing at KSU, and family weekend.

Can we please stop the circle jerk over ULM? After Alabama beat Arkansas by 17 more in Fayettville than they beat WKU in Tuscaloosa, I think that win over "#8" Arkansas comes down a notch. Also, Auburn is terrible. That's not to say that ULM is not a good team, but they're not the next freakin Boise State. ULM will not even win the Sun Belt this year.

When we were in Manhattan 4 years ago, the people were hospitable to us from the very beginning, very friendly as well. They were the best fan base I've ever come in contact with on the road.
