While I think its content is total and complete BS, I do somewhat respect their attempt at transparency. I also wish they would have just grown a pair, gave ULM a good butt kicking, and move on.

If NT were to play the FCS national champion....would anyone bet on NT? Probably not, which is the sad part.

Count me in the camp that doesn't feel bad for them one bit. The amount of crap they talked about how great it was, and how Malzahn really loved coming home and he would be there for years. LOL.

We can still have a good season by NT standards. A little over .500 in conference play and a run in the conference tournament was about par for the course under Johnny Jones. Benford will need to get his stuff together to even sniff that though. The sad part, is that this was "the season". They may have been overhyped, but we still may never have this kind of talent at NT again. This was the year we were supposed to get to the NCAA with a reasonable seed. WE were supposed to be getting 5,000 a game and more. These two losses at home (when was the last time we lost back to back at home) will kill attendance until the spring semester, and its only coming back if we start winning. If it weren't for a miracle UALR three pointer in 2011, and CJ and JW failing in 2012, we would be playing for our fourth straight NCAA. It really just is baffling sometimes how little goes right for us. Brandon Walton injury and failed TJ Taylor appeal already this year.

I think both of the big recruits coming in this weekend said they would not make a decision until they finished all their visits...at schools going to bowl games.

I suppose the program. Although our fanbase may not be huge, we have a very loyal core that, at least in my opinion, seem to be tiring of the continual mediocrity. That is a troubling sign.

Realistically, we deserve whatever we get. I assume we are going to get screwed over.

Relevant to NT football? I think not.

This doesn't even seem like a head coaching learning curve thing to me. It really seems like the team has regressed right in front of our eyes. Mitchell is playing awful. I'm sure he wants the ball more, but he has been a turnover machine and has the attidude of a pouty third grader. Benford seems to have them regressing not just as a team, but as players as well. What makes this even worse is the BS we have gotten from the last two head coaching hires. For both football and basketball we were supposed to be getting proven winners with head coaching experience. Neither of them have resumes that fit those qualifications. And for those that argue Dan did so great at Iowa State in such a hard situation, spare me the BS. This program is running out of time.

Maybe Benford can just sit this one out. No coaching > Bad Coaching?

Next year....we will be seeing a string of posts claiming we will break through in year 4.
