Next weekend is @ ranked Baylor and home against Oklahoma State. Also, NT is now up 5-0 after an Allison Harper goal.

That last goal by Holden was awesome. She never quit despite being knocked down....that is why refs in soccer are allowed to call an advantage rather than a foul.

I wasn't expecting to get it once SUMG said it has been dropped from FSSW. Apparently we have beaten OU in 4 of the 5 all-time meetings...the commentators were talking in the pregame as if we were the clear favorite. They also discussed the history of the NT program a bit which was nice that they did their research. This is basically an OU production being broadcast, but it has been really good so far.

NT defender Tess Graham picks up a yellow....shouldn't be a huge factor unless she picks up a second...may make her a little more conservative on defense but so far we've been the more dangerous team offensively.

Well, if we were to somehow win the conference that would lock us into the Liberty Bowl, but aside from that, if the other bowl just pick from the pool of available teams, NT to the game at the Cotton Bowl would seem a no brainer (if we get to six wins). We will just have to cross that bridge when we hopefully get there.

Does anyone know if the CUSA bowls operate differently than the Sun Belt did? If it's at all similar I don't see how we don't end up at the Heart of Dallas bowl if we get to six wins. What other team from CUSA would get a better turnout there.

Everyone has their opinions of how things are going with regard to the big picture of NT athletics, but even the people that think we are on the wrong track (not saying UNT90 does) still want us to be successful. There's no reason for all these threads calling people out. It's been a frustrating decade. I personally am torn. I see a lot of improvement in how we do things now, but am hesitant to get my hopes up. If this is how we are going to operate anybody that predicts a loss in the score prediction thread should start getting called out for being Mr. poopy pants.

Obviously its still early in the season and anything (good or bad) could happen, but I do wonder what kind of attendance an Iowa/North Texas matchup at the Cotton Bowl would get. Would a large number of Iowa fans travel for a bowl game against North Texas?

I would have to say no, but it would probably be pretty close...would also depend on what happens against Tulane. Let's cross that bridge if we get there though.

My hope is that (at a minimum) we beat MTSU, UTSA, and UTEP at home and then one of Tulane, USM and La Tech on the road to get to six. Anything above that would be fantastic, but getting to that Heart of Dallas bowl would be absolutely massive for the program and it will probably only take 6 wins to get there. After yesterday my optimism is starting to come back a bit. The team has fight and the halftime adjustments were spot on.

Let's hope Mack Brown is still the coach or they hire someone else who has no clue what to do with talent.

I'm absolutely not complaining, because a win is a win any way we can get it, but we absolutely have to find a way to quit coming out flat.
