UTSA not being eligible for a bowl is not a hard concept...also, it's irrelevant how many bowl eligible teams there are. CUSA has direct tie ins. Unless we get passed over for all of those we will be bowling.

It wasn't a guarantee we would have hosted. Marshall wasn't too far behind us and they'll get a big boost from the win today. If they had passed us in the BCS they would have hosted. We will never know.

There should be one of these to every away game for which it is feasible.

After talking to some people before the UTSA game, there's a good chance Marshall would have passed us in the BCS standings after beating ECU...our pathetic loss to UTSA makes all that irrelevant though

That's the kind of kid we want! Not sure if he has a connection to NT other than potentially playing for us, but I live when we can get hometown kids who want to play for the hometown team. The soccer team had 4 ladies from Denton Guyer on the team this year.

If we had a clone of soza playing for us we'd have won the game, plus Tulane and Ohio. I'm banking on Dajon Williams wiping his butt with UTSA in the alamodone next year.

Other than the couple unnecessary cheap shots at the beginning, I didn't see anything wrong with the article. We all knew he was moving to get closer to his family.

With the nightmare that is our history with Tulsa, a 1-point win in my opinion will suffice.

There's not a scenario (I don't think) in which we can be in a tie for the west and UTSA not go to the championship game. Does it really make a good statement for the conference if the equivalent of an FCS school is playing for the title?

Yeah. We have the same offensive game plan every week regardless of the opponent, which in addition to the possibility of being a bad game plan for a given opponent also makes us painfully predictable.

It was definitely a kick to the nuts, but I'm not buying a significant amount of long term ramifications. It's not going to hurt our recruiting directly. That's not how kids make their decisions. Us breaking our streak of losing seasons is the most important thing. Hopefully we take a big crowd to San Antonio next year because without soza it will be a fun time.

Look at in one year how high the expectations have been raised, which is a great thing. I would assume that if most of our fan base had been told that after 11 games, with any combination of wins and losses that we would be 7-4, most would be ecstatic. Yet, it is hard not to be extremely disappointed with where we aren't.. We should be playing for a division title next week, but bad losses happen. At the very least, this season has raised the expectation level, and hopefully the bar will stay high.

Not sure about the QB. They were missing a RB to the flu I believe.

Is a medical redshirt what they are pursuing for Dajon? I've never seen that actually mentioned.

Playing in New Orleans in front of 40,000 hammered Cajuns doesn't sound like a recipe for success for NT...it does however sound like a recipe for good tailgating food. I'd rather do that than play in Hawaii though...
