It's fantastic that there is a ticket office representative posting on the board. Thanks to the athletic department for making/letting this happen and let's hope there is a massive increase in season ticket sales. Also very proud of the AD for ramping up sales so early this year. Hopefully 2/3 is also the release date for the full schedule from CUSA.

I would assume if we get to six wins again and don't have better options we would go to the HOD bowl again. Surprised they have BYU taking the spot from CUSA.

Are you out of your mind? We are a 36,000 student state school in a major metropolitan area. We need to convince people to care, not reduce our capacity to the amount of oeople that currently care. Renovations, yes. Significant capacity reduction, no. Eventually I think we will need to build a new arena.

Is ours that much smaller? I thought people were saying they were comparable.

I was fine with MTSU and wku because they are strong overall programs. The others...not so much.

Beating UNLV by 1 is better than losing to Michigan by 1 if those are the only two options. We needed a real victory, not a moral one for all the fans that showed up.

To create any real advantage they would have to set the stipend limit so high the non power conference teams couldn't match it. They aren't considering only allowing the stipend for the power conference teams are they?

I agree and said so in my prior post. We have no excuse not to have 30k+ at every home game.

I was just saying. You can't use a neutral site FCS championship game to somehow make our turnout at the HOD bowl more impressive. It was indeed impressive, but it's not comparable when we have well over 100,000 alumni living within 45 minutes of the cotton bowl. Edit: and 36,000 students!

It was just a hair under 20,000. Towson had maybe 1500 fans, so NDSU travelled about 18,000 on their own. If our bowl game had been an 18 hour drive away do you think we would travel even 18,000. You are comparing apples and oranges when our bowl game was directly in the middle of our largest alumni base.

I do agree with you on your general point. There are very few SMU people I've come across that I've actually had a problem with and most seem like good people, The same goes for North Texas grads and TCU grads and so on and so forth. However, message board trash talking is a completely different issue and should not be taken as a mirror image of peoples feelings in real life. I think it's silly to say that the smack talk is a product of jealousy or insecurity...it's just smack talk. Message boards just aren't that important and are hardly ever a legitimate reflection of reality with things like this.
