WVU will literally do everything in its power to make sure that Marshall is never in a nationally relevant conference.

We need to start believing we are pretty enough to get dates with more than just people who were recently dumped.

Texas State. Being in a division with 4 other Texas schools would be awesome. As some have stated at least we have history with them. Forget ASU and ULL.

Thank goodness we have basketball to get us through the winter.

I believe it was Louisville in 1975 or something like that. It's been a long time.

Looks like the regular season meeting in Bowling Green (because, you know, all of our teams seem to perpetually play in BG) was a pretty solid win for WKU... Hopefully a neutral site and some late season momentum will get NT through to the final, which I believe is televised.

UMass ends the game on a 12-2 run to win 56-46. Ladies move to 0-3.

A little sad we have a roll call thread for a home game, no?

Just keep winning and the attendance will work its way back up to what it was a few years ago. Can't ask for better than 3-0 at this point. Bigger challenges to come though. Go Mean Green!

I know it is a tough pill to swallow, but the only people that think NT is superior to any of those schools you mentioned are on this message board. Reality.

We will not know much about this team until 1) we know what the full roster of available players will look like and 2) we play a capable D1 basketball team. I remain cautiously optimistic. Maybe the NCAA will realize we are due for a break and make Reese eligible.

Let's go ahead and avoid the FCS team that has won like 6 in a row against FBS competition.

I'm not the biggest fan of the long ball style of play either, but it CAN work. It takes a lot of discipline and shape in the back and midfielders that work their butts off to get back on defense. There was an unmanageable (from a NT perspective) of space for rice to work with in the middle third which, with the creative runs they were using all day, was ultimately our downfall.

Final 2-0 Rice. NT was completely dominated in all aspects of the game. Rice was superior tactically and technically. Terrible performance. There's just no other way to put it. The injuries to Kerestine and Davis certainly didn't help but it should not have resulted in getting dominated quite that bad. Flobeck actually played very well in goal for not being a goalie. NT now outscored 5-0 in the last two CUSA championship games. EDIT: There is hope though. NT graduates only two seniors from this team.

If we had beaten OU and Gonzaga (two games we gave up equalizers in the final minute at home and lost in OT) I think we may have an outside shot, but as it stands it is extremely, extremely unlikely. We are going to have to score twice in the last 10 minutes to have a shot I think.

2-0 Rice on what may end up being an own goal. Deja vu from last year. Going to take something really special for NT to get back into it because the offense has looked hapless.

I actually thought NT looked much better the last 15 minutes or so. Jackie being out is a concern...sort of looked like seeing her go down motivated them to step up the play a bit. Hopefully she returns in the second half. I think Flobeck is just sort of winging it in goal (she is not a GK) but she's done just fine so far.

Rice dominating the game so far. Rice up 1-0 midway through first half. Our team thought she was offside (irrelevant at this point), but TV broadcast gave no angles to be able to tell one way or the other.,

When that bowl game is 40 minutes from your campus and closer to many alumni than your home stadium it means a little less. With that being said, I think we have a decent shot at the armed forces bowl if we can just get to six wins. One down, three to go. Get by UTEP and things get real interesting.

The host site is determined before the year starts. The NT Athletic Department would need to bid for it. We hosted the Sun Belt tournament probably 6 or 7 years ago. I believe that was the last time a conference soccer tourney was in Denton.
