  1. It's actually a little bit of both isn't it? A remodel of the old space plus some new.
  2. Carlos was +4 today. Well outside the cut line heading into round 2. He's in a bit of a slump of late.
  3. This is good. Thanks for clearing that up.
  4. Obviously, Rick can answer for himself, but I feel like a division 1 team should give season ticket holders the option to pick their own seats. If game day purchases are GA so be it, that way you don't have to print a bunch of potentially unused tickets.
  5. I think it's more about taking ourselves seriously enough to sell actual seats rather than an attempt to make the crowd look bigger.
  6. I've heard this argument made by a few different people on and off this board, but I have to disagree. NT has been it's own worst enemy for many decades now. While those two wins could've had a short term impact, I'm not entirely convinced it would've changed the way athletics were treated at NT over the long term. Programs are rarely defined by a single win. ULM beat alabama a years ago and has not found any material increase in relevance over the decade since. It's been 26 years since the loss at Texas. 26 years. There have been plenty of opportunities over that period for the program to build some momentum. Instead, we have not beaten a ranked team in a major sport since the mid 1970's. I put more blame on decades of apathy from our administration than a few boneheaded referees decisions 2-5 decades ago.
  7. It's been a really rough year for NT sports.
  8. I like edgy uniforms. The new TCU uniforms are awful though.
  9. Wow. They're on top of their stuff.
  10. Awesome to see an alum get the chance to coach one of the big three programs.
  11. Oh, I'm not making excuses. I just don't think only the 20 or so people that made a majority of the home games last year are the only ones entitled to an opinion. Women's basketball is poorly attended even at many successful P5 schools. The wins are going to have to rack up before people show up. That's the unfortunate reality for women's athletics.
  12. Sucks to only have four Saturday home games, but let's just win this year no matter the time or place. Winning solves a lot of issues.
  13. There are plenty of people that may not have the time or resources to attend every game that still follow the team and support in other ways and are entitled to an opinion.
  14. I might be getting you mixed up with someone else, but I thought I saw you post one time that you worked for the athletic department. If that's the case, I would certainly hope you would be concerned with donation levels and ticket commitments from alumni.
  15. I keep seeing people sling around the "left leaning school" comment, but is there any real data behind this. Sure you could throw out election results, but i would expect young liberals to vote at a much higher rate than young conservatives (speculation). My guess is if you actually polled the student body you would find the average student to be center right much like the rest of the state. NT has a perception of being a small liberal arts school, but that is not necessarily reality. I'm not saying we are Liberty South, but also don't think this is still 1970s NT. So long as the speech were not an egregious political diatribe I would be honored for any prominent leader to visit NT.
  16. She coaches post players and is the recruiting coordinator. I believe she has seven years of coaching experience most of which has been under Aston who is probably the best women's coach to pass through NT. The program literally can't get any worse so it's the perfect time for a risky hire as someone said previously.
  17. Does this mean we can hire our new WBB coach now? Or is this just completely non-UNT related?
  18. I think it's top 50 or 60 plus current year winners and some international slots and exemptions. It's the most restrictive major.
  19. He finished tied for 15th and pocketed another $99,000.
  20. Carlos tied for 15th at +1 with 2 holes left. Way off the lead, but then again, so is everyone else.
  21. Only after KRAM made a couple phone calls.
  22. Carlos made a little over $59k this week. Solid.
  23. Ortiz makes another cut. Tied for 40th heading into the weekend.
