  1. I'm not sure where JJ is on the LSU hot seat, and I'm not saying I think bringing him back would be the best option, but I do think it will be intriguing to watch if he happens to be available during our coaching search. Those sure were good times.
  2. I thought army and western Michigan were the possible options.
  3. Apparently the instruction at half time by Benford was to stop doing what was working to end the half.
  4. Unfortunately two of the bad halves will probably be good enough.
  5. Far from a convincing win for western Michigan. Probably puts Navy in the cotton bowl is the midshipmen win the next two.
  6. HOD vs. Mississippi State would be epic
  7. Why are people acting like having high standards and accepting an invitation pursuant to the rules are mutually exclusive? Are we satisfied with 5-wins? Absolutely not. Can these guys still take advantage of their good academics and go represent the school one more time this year? Heck yeah. And us as fans should support them and enjoy it. In the minds of the typical college football fan the New Orleans Bowl (for example) is just as irrelevant today as it was 15 years ago when 5-win teams (with rare exceptions) never made it to bowl games. In fact, the multitude of bowl games now just extends the same sort of opportunity that P5 teams have had for years when they essentially had to just get to 6-wins and so long as they had a tie in above .500 G5 teams were left out. I like the current set up.
  8. You lose 100% of the games you don't play?
  9. Boise cannot be in a New Years 6 bowl because they won't be a conference champion.
  10. What's the crowd like?
  11. It is very possible I'm forgetting something, but as for the punter, that's the first mistake I remember him making all year.
  12. Is it literally these teams picking spots in order or do the bowl games themselves still have a say? Either way, with the independence bowl filled it looks like we will be staying in the continental US. Boise here we come!
  13. That would be awesome.
  14. I would be shocked if Texas accepted an invite at 5-7.
  15. Nope. They have radio communication between each other but not with the fans.
  16. Of course. But obviously somewhere that would allow a large amount of fans to travel is most ideal. The Bahamas or Hawaii would be great for the team but we would only have a couple thousand people at either. If that many.
  17. I guess we will just see how it goes. Anything that keeps us out of the Bahamas or Hawaii I would take
  18. What I am asking is when we go in with an APR exemption do we go on the list of CUSA teams that the conference has to place in its tie ins? So we get the Indy bowl? Would the 6 fully eligible teams not work it out amoungst the 7 spots and whatever is left just goes into the mixer with the other bowls looking for a spot. Maybe I'm not making sense. The question is are we technically tied to a CUSA tie in when we are going into the pot of teams just looking for a spot.
  19. exactly...?
  20. If UTSA wins that's six 6-win teams for CUSA to fill the 6 spots. We are a fill in going somewhere else.
  21. MTSU thinks they're headed to Shreveport. Since we are going in at 5-7 if UTSA wins we cannot go to either Hawaii or Bahamas right?
  22. In the very beginning it was 15 positive and 5 negative every day wasn't it? I seem to remember it being pretty limited.
  23. So do we need one more team to lose? I did a quick count and it looks like we would be in even if Hawaii, Army, and South Alabama were to get in.
  24. Looks like this is going to be tight on the APR exemption. Almost all of the 5 win teams have won. SMU and Ole Miss look like they will lose.
  25. Looks like we care about as much as we did against Portland State. Really embarrassing.
