If Seth leaves this year it will sting, but at least it will end because of success and not, you know, a 59 point homecoming loss to an FCS school.

I believe that FIU game against UMass only gets played if FIU fails to qualify for the conference championship game. I have seen no definitive tie breakers or procedures for hosting. In fact, I believe the actual rules of competition state something to the effect of TBD regarding hosting tiebreaks when there is no head to head.

I know a lot of us were frustrated it took a last second field goal for our team to beat UAB but that win is looking better and better as the season goes on. They are a good team. Period.

Hopefully our coaches were aware of this for game planning.

Odd choice for such a big game. Would have been a good time to bring out the all green. Or, you know, some green. Win and it doesn't really matter though.

I was saying that in jest. It's probably going to take some sort of lawsuit as @UNT90 suggested, but there should be no rest until there is an actual seat at the table for the G5 as in my compromise scenario (P5 schools have 5/60 teams in whereas G5 have 1/70). At least there's a path though. The P5 hand would need to be forced into that sort of compromise. As for non-champ P5s, Conference play should be the first round of the playoffs and if you don't win, have fun at the Belk Bowl.

Forget it then, let's just drop down to FCS.

The two teams added in my scenario would be Oklahoma and Western Michigan. (And Penn State in place of Ohio State). Edit: Dont win your conference? Don't complain.

I think you could solve a lot of the controversy and appease almost everyone by amending the current system to a 6-team playoff. Every conference champion from the P5 gets in. If you're Ohio State and don't win your conference, get over it, you're out. The highest ranked champion from the G5 is in. All the committee does is pick the G5 team and seed the teams 1-6. 1 and 2 get a bye into the New Years Six semifinals. 3 hosts 6 and 4 hosts 5 on campus the week before.

I'm less concerned about the "caw" (though it's corny) and more concerned about how small the HOD logo is. It's not like your average joe driving down the highway is going to recognize that logo or why we are celebrating. That's the more serious issue.

Sorry, I'm not happy for them. Just more fuel for one of, if not the most whiny and entitled fan base in MLS. I do, however, have a lot of respect for their atmosphere and attendance numbers. They sell soccer style NorthTexas scarves at the bookstore. Barf is about the nicest thing I could say about the Sounders.

FCD was easily the best team in the league this year. The absences piling up was just too much, the most devastating of which to Mauro Diaz was directly caused by Seattle recklessly chopping him down (without consequence) every chance they could get in the second to last week of the season. Seattle was then the direct benefit of this against Dallas in the conference semis. I wish Toronto had won 70-0.

Back when we were good we took WAY more fans to Arlington for games than UTA had the other day in Denton.

Who cares? This bowl isn't about TV ratings and it isn't about what the national media thinks or doesn't think. This game is about our fan base and our future, most importantly the large number of quality recruits that hopefully decide on 12/27, while seeing our fans turn out in large numbers, that they want to be a part of adding another 4 wins to our record next year.

You don't get a seat today because they will be allocated via priority points 10 days before the game.
