Are we expecting anyone other than maybe Wilson to be out for the conference championship game. I would expect Guyton to be back in two weeks.

I like our chances of getting to 10-wins much more if we beat Rice. Let's go for it.

Not that it wasn't a vicious hit on Guyton, but wasn't it more shoulder to shoulder? The refs seemed convinced of that because they barely even reviewed it.

Agreed. I am hopeful that particularly for games in Houston there is some marketing being targeted at the thousands of NT alums that live down there.

What does it cost to go to the bowl. Maybe 100-150k. Surely they have some donors that could step up given it's their first bowl in 60 years.

NT beats Marshall 3-1. On to the semifinal. WKU will play USM in the other semifinal. We will play the winner of UTSA/FAU.

Agree. In my dreams we build something similar to what Iowa State has, just a little smaller and with better amenities. We need a true multi-purpose venue for our future ice hockey team.

Our RPI is inside the top 50 now and also getting top 25 votes. I could see an at large possibility if we at least make it to the championship game.

Not saying that basketball couldn't use a new venue (though I sure wish it was closer to the dorms). Just saying it should be big enough for more than 1/8 our student body. I believe 5,000 was being thrown around. As awesome as the JJ Sun Belt years were that shouldn't be referenced as the peak of our potential. I hear you but arenas are not easy to expand. We pretty much have one shot at this. I would very much prefer a modern arena similar to UTA (maybe with more amenities) but also with more capacity.

I kind of wish we had scheduled Alabama-Huntsville just to exorcise those demons right from the start.

We have almost 40,000 students. Building a new arena with a capacity any less than 10,000 seats would be incredibly short sighted. Either get the money to build a facility that could house a successful basketball program at a university our size or stay in the super pit.

It needs a unified end with the whole stadium. After the last "Texas" the whole crowd yells "Mean Green" in unison (or something like that). I wouldn't like ending it in "fight" because that's copying the longhorns.

Maybe. If I'm remembering correctly Dunham said he stayed at home when the OU fan asked if he had gone to the game. And I'm not saying he MUST be at every game, just that his response to Austin was a little unnecessary. I listen to the ticket, and it's an entertaining station, but I've never felt like they've given NT the kind of publicity worthy of the deity status some give them on here. Other than our former play-by-play voice working there we are essentially an afterthought in their programming. And just for the record, I think SMU is an afterthought on the ticket as well, and that's the station that broadcasts SMU games. Both NT and SMU deserve more attention in local coverage.

I'm torn on the long ball style. We are able to do that and "out-athlete" a lot of the schools on "our level". The problem is you get to the NCAA and we are up against much better athletes. Overall Texas is the better team but not 3-0 better.

Is Dunham going to the game? I believe he said on the radio he didnt make the ODU game...

Which computer ratings? I've never seen that specified.
