Agree. John Liddle is the women's play by play guy and is fantastic. Could be wrong but I believe he is an alum just like Dave Barnett.

We may have our moments from time to time but there are MUCH worse. We are a pretty loyal bunch when you really look at things.

Graduation doesn't impact the entire student body. We have 40,000 students and can't get 160 to take up an offer that's cheaper than the gas to get there if they drove themselves?

I'm not saying there isn't competition. I'm just saying our sights should be set bigger than capturing Gainesville. Dallas will never care about TCU because they're in Fort Worth. Heck, there are enough people in the northern suburbs of Dallas to a accomplish what we need with just a small percentage of them.

TCU captured Fort Worth. Not DFW. NT should be trying to capture the large portion of the Dallas side of the area that will never feel any attachment whatsoever to SMU.

I see this claim about +/- 20k thrown around a lot. I just don't think that is reality. The highest attendance for any of those four games was 27,000 total. Bowls frequently overstate attendance. 2003 was the only year we were even relatively close to averaging 20,000...at Fouts. Not saying the crowds were bad, just that I think the lore has drifted a bit from reality. For what it's worth, I think we commonly overstate our actual butts in seats attendance at the HOD bowls as well. Probably not a popular opinion but just the way I see it. If we get 10,000 actual human beings wearing green in the Superdome I will consider that a big victory.

If that's a real number that only 88 were sold the students should be embarrassed.

Assuming he is deemed eligible (which I realize is a risky assumption for us because the NCAA hates us) does he get significant minutes? Is he practicing with the team right now?

I would normally agree with this, but there are two problems. First, the Benford years weren't just mediocre, they were a complete disaster from the beginning, with a team that was touted as one of our best ever. Second, that disaster was allowed to continue for five full seasons. I agree there is no reason to dwell on it but the reality is it will likely take this fan base, particularly the students, a couple of years to fully jump back on the bandwagon. I do think we will see better crowds in the spring Hopefully enough progress has been made come conference tournament time to result in some good crowds in Frisco.

I think as long as we pay her a fair salary the list of jobs she would leave for is pretty short. If this year ends the way it has started it needs to be raise and extension time in WBB land. She took over an absolute disaster from Peterson and has shown improvement each year.

No one is underestimating Troy. There is probably a greater than 50% chance we lose. I think we would have had the same, if not a better chance of beating Florida State than Troy. But you guys aren't Alabama.

I'm confident FAU would absolutely annihilate Troy if those two teams played. Should be a pretty good game in New Orleans.
