Maybe no huge upset wins, but this team is leaps and bounds above last year based on the eye test. Have a hard time giving anything less than a B+ at this point.

CUSA has the HOD spot back next year I believe. That should be the goal against hopefully a P5 team. You know, unless we make our College Football Playoff debut.

Yes, MAY not have had a choice. I was vocally against the NOB, but I am not privy to the knowledge necessary to make a definitive statement on how it all happened. I guess one can always throw out the generic "oh, well our administration should have done better", but there's a better chance than not that we were not the most powerful entity in the room. I think the odd FAU/Akron matchup tells you there was plenty of funny business going on.

There weren't many people on here disrespecting the NOB itself. It's a fine, average bowl. The problem was the totality of the circumstances which made it basically a lose/lose. We may not have had a choice and that's fine. But it was less than ideal. Just because it's inflated (probably more than double) attendance figures are better than 9 other bowls doesn't change that.

Too bad FAU didn't get the chance against FSU. I think the owls would have won.

More power to them if that matchup got top dollar for commercials.

Michael Lawrence deserves a scholly. He was phenomenal this year.

Sounds like we had no shot at the HOD bowl this year so it's a non issue, but turning down a shot at a P5 in your own backyard would have been a ridiculous decision.

They actually counted anyone physically within a 2-mile radius of the Cotton Bowl.

I really think SMU could have been turned into a win. Sutton might have been a little quieter after a few hits from Buckles.

Just a mediocre couple of games. It happens. So long as this team can get healthy I think we will be fine. Still waiting on some sort of update on Holmes. Vito hasn't reported anything that I've seen. At least as of a few hours ago.

Ladies struggling tonight against 1-8 EIU. Didn't see any live stats to tell if Holmes was playing, though I doubt it. Down 6 mid 3rd quarter. This would end a pretty bad Illinois road trip.
