This is a problem. There is no longer an identity to the student section. The Pit Crew from the JJ era (which died a quick but painful death under Tony Benford) gave the students something to be a a part of. It was a somewhat cohesive unit. There needs to be a concerted effort to bring that back and once you do, I think the student attendance numbers themselves will grow.

Injured against UIC. I believe she only missed the eastern Illinois game but I agree she's seemed a little different. Im all for giving her the benefit of the doubt given the plague of injuries over the summer. Concerned about the difference of play from fall to spring though. This team should win at least 3 of the last 7 and if the tiebreaks fall right that should be good enough. Have to have the win and tiebreak over FIU next Thursday though.

The game against FIU this Thursday is close to a must win. I was counting this game against UTSA as a win before it happened. Now we lost the Tiebreak against UTSA so down to 13th place and no spot in the tournament. I don't believe we have missed the tournament in a very long time.

I can't come up with a good explanation

Down 11 in the third quarter to 3-17 UTSA. What is going on with this team? They went 8-8 in conference last year. This would drop them to 2-7 and out of the conference tournament if it started today. The OOC slate wasn't a bunch of powerhouses but still looked decent going 9-3.

Yes. A long way.

I don't like using injuries as an excuse, but this team (which will likely still end the year with a winning record) really is doing a good job under the circumstances.

Frustrating. This team struggles to put a good, full game together. Looking ahead at the schedule I don't see an issue with the team making the conference tournament but it will probably be a disappointing 9-12 seed. Especially after going .500 in conference last year that would be a bit of a disappointment.

Well, at least we are showing a little bit of life.

We have a long way to go before we can start complaining about style points in victories.

If Holmes has the flu I kind of wish she wasn't sitting on the bench right next to all of the other players...

I think this will be our second 0-4 week of the season (barring a comeback today, which obviously I hope happens) Men's and women's. At the end of the year both teams will probably be around .500 in conference but what a roller coaster.

Having to play from behind seemingly every game is getting old...I'm sure we will still make a game of it. It's just harder this way

I know the jury is out on Sczcepanski, but can't help but feeling like her in particular would be changing things quite a bit. I haven't seen anything from @Brett Vito recently concerning her status.

Not an excuse but UAB is one of the best teams in the conference. This was always going to be a tough game.

Seemed like MTSU always had a 3-pointer just at the right time to end a run. We can compete with them. Maybe another chance is forthcoming.

Not quite. We haven't won in Murfreesboro since Mitchell was a player. We most recently beat them in 2006 in Denton. Since then there have been some very, very lopsided losses.

With how short handed La Tech was this isn't a good loss.
