I've been trying to make this sell to a group of friends from college, all of which actively follow the athletic teams and attend probably half of the football home games. None of them have any interest in doing it, which is incredibly disheartening. Of course, we need to continue to reach out and "sell" to alumni, but the real culture change needs to start with the current students when they become alumni.

They got 6 more games with their teammates, a trophy, and blue t-shirts.

All I was doing was making a small correction (about one of our teams that I follow very closely) when it was CLEARLY being implied that RV hired its head coach. Take a deep breath. :)

To clarify one point about soccer, RV didn't hire Hedlund. It was probably Helwig, but I didn't go back to double check the years. Could have been pre-Helwig.

We have plenty whose parents live in DFW.

I wonder how much the time will impact the crowd. Student crowd will hopefully be bigger. Maybe just late arriving? I have to think given what's at stake a lot of people will make it work. Especially on a day a lot of places will close a little early.

I think we stabilized ourselves enough in the second half to where I'm less worried about carry over effects from this one.

The good news is the rest of this series is at home.

It's amazing how little has gone our way tonight. Some our fault. Some just chance.

I guarantee we will get mentioned tonight.

The 3s aren't falling tonight. That makes a big difference. However, if we can get it to 10 or less at halftime it is far from over. Because the 3s may start again.

It really is astounding the way the local media is ignoring this. Our games should be mentioned every time we play. Same for SMU and TCU.

It's just a little plain.

Our crowd against Jacksonville State (2,800) is actually the third biggest home crowd of the CBI and CIT this year. Grand Canyon had 5,900 (all numbers in this post rounded) for their CBI round of 16 loss to Mercer. Drake has 3,600 for their CIT first round win against Abilene Christian. If we win in SF tomorrow I think we top 4,000 Wednesday.

Random thought but I wonder if we've ever considered painting the rest of the end zone Kelly green instead of keeping the "natural" green of the turf.

We have shot over 70% from 3, three times. The highest is .818 against Texas State in 2010 (only 11 attempts), followed by .722 against Nichols in 1994 (not sure how many attempts but no more than 12 makes so less than 20 tries based on %), and .714 against Denver in 2011 (7 attempts).
