  1. Thats why I have to go with Ohio State. Boise had won just by being in the game they had nothing to lose Florida doesn't have that luxury they have to play there game and Ohio State is just a better team.
  2. I try to ignore anything coming out of SMU but has any one noticed that our new LB Padron they're ripping for being to small is bigger than the DE Yenga they got.
  3. Has anyone considered some others schools may have backed way because he's diabetic and Dodge knows it won't have any effect on this kid.
  4. Thats really not the point I'm not saying th SEC will do that every year. It just turns out they had 4, 10 win teams all ranked in the top 12 this year. Last year it would have looked like this. USC v. Florida State Texas v. Texas Tech Penn State v. TCU Ohio State v. Alabama Oregen v. LSU Notre Dame v. West Virginia Georgia v. Va Tech Miami v. Auburn Ok I hoped to prove the SEC wouldn't get four teams but I failed. Big 10 - 2 Big 12 - 2 Pac 10 - 2 ACC - 3 SEC - 4 Big E - 1 Mount W - 1 Indep - 1 I did just realize in 2002 only 1 SEC team would have been in.
  5. I really don't care what uniform or helmet we end up with I just hope we can find something and stick with it. I'm tired of wondering what we're going to look like from game to game.
  6. I make it a point not to follow anything an aggie would do.
  7. YOu know your almost changing my mind Arkansas didn't really beat anyone but Auburn but your biggest arrgument is that Hawaii barely lost to a team that beat a good team and barely lost to an other team the barely lost to the team that got in instead of them. I wish more non BCS schools could make it but you've gotta draw the line somewhere.
  8. I think this is a great move it gives our new coaching staff a lot more collegiate experience and should help the rest of the incoming coaches make the adjustment to the college level. And now days if you can recruit to a military academy you've gotta be doing something right.
  9. I knew I shold have looked closer at that Vanderbilt vs. Georgia game.
  10. This is really a boring week but as I see it we should be #5. UNT beat SMU Smu Beat Tulane Tulane beat Rice Rice beat Army Army beat Baylor Baylor beat Kansas Kansas beat South Florida South Florida beat Pittsburg Pittsburg beat Cincy Cincy beat Rutgers Rutgers beat Louisville That was painful and useless but the I don't think we can get any higher we maybe able to get to that spot quicker you tell me.
  11. You've gotta love controversy. There are 8 teams that didn't win there conferences on the list I stand by the 3 conferences not represented a 4-5 loss team doesn't belong playing for a national championship. When it come to the remaining spots even looking past ranking you have to look at strength of schedule. TCU beat one ranked team and Hawaii lost to the only ranked team they played. The 4 SEC teams listed finished the regular season at, 12-1, 10-3, 10-2, 10-2 all four with several wins over top tier programs. Problems still persist but when you've got several teams with 10 wins the tie goes to the team who beat other teams with 10 wins not the team who beat Eastern Illinois or UC Davis not to say none of the teams on the list played spares or there own.
  12. I couldn't agree more but as long as there is college football there will be rankings. And unless we have all 119 teams play each other the polls will prevail. And as much as I hate the BCS a similar system of averaging different polls has to be the way to go making it harder for writers and coaches to individually change results by leaving a team out. Unfortunately there is no right answer and no matter what gets done someone will be left out and be left complaining.
  13. At first glance your missing A&M, Arkansas, Wake Forest, and Rutgers
  14. Tell them to win their conference TCU lost to BYU who would be in and Hawaii lost to Boise St.
  15. The point of a playoff is to get the best teams playing for a national championship so I vote no automatic bids for conference champions. They need a requirement similar to what they use for current non BCS teams. Win your conference and finish in the top 12(if an 8 team playoff stick with it). For the purpose of a playoff you can say finish atleast in the top 25 even since from year to year every conference wouldn't belong in a playoff and too many better teams would be left out. With these standards and desent conference champion would still make the playoffs and would help insure the #10 team in the nation isn't left out for an unranked team from a lesser conference. Understand this is hard to say for a North Texas fan but noone can honestly say we deserved a shot at the National Title after winning the Sunbelt at 5-6, 7-5, 9-3(maybe), and 7-4. If there is to be a playoff the best teams have to be there most of those will be from the big conferences but if the was used this year with a 16 team playoff you would have using BCS rankings. Ohio State v. BYU Florida v. Virgina Tech Michigan v. Wake Forest LSU v. West Virginia USC v. Arkansas Louisville v. Notre Dame Wisconsin v. Oklahoma Boise State v. Auburn Big 10 - 3 teams Big 12 - 1 SEC - 4 ACC - 2 PAC 10 - 1 Big East - 2 CUSA - 0 Houston 8-3 WAC - 1 M. West - 1 MAC - 0 Central Michigan 9-4 SunBelt - 0 Troy 7-5 Indep - 1 As you see only one 3 lose team gets in the big confereces are well represented and no undeserving teams get in automatically.
  16. I've been an avid reader for over 3 years I just rarely have anything to say someone hasn't beat me to. Please let me in.
