1. Out side of the spirit groups the greeks have always supported the team better than the average student body. This is a huge game close by on a holiday weekend by I'd expect a big greek turnout.
2. I don't know much about the advertising or marketing end of things but who ever sold this campaign to the ponies deserves a huge bonus. I'm in sales and pretty damn good at it but I'm sure i'd get laughed out of the building with that one.
3. That dog said it all. It's been a long decade congrats on your 1000th post.
4. I spoke to a couple guys this past weekend and heard the Phi Kap chapter will be there.
5. For the record I never claimed to be productive during the off season.
6. I'm in with a group of around a dozen.
7. I've grown to except that. Same thing with the NTSU comments. Do I like it no but will the nation ever change I've conceded they won't. As long as they talk about us they can call us by what ever former name they want. I’ll never change what I call a stadium just because someone buys the rights I think this is kinda the same.
8. Now if the weather guy was ever right 10 days out I'd be worried.
9. We really can't compare the two. Woody did great against SMU last year but we have a completely different system in place now. I don't think we can judge anything by what was done in the Dickey system. Now if Meager has the same results as the past two years then we just know he’s a spare but until we see him in action under Todge we won’t know.
10. Correction will look good in a NT uniform.
11. I really don't think we can predict anything until we see the product on the field. Navy is already close to a sell out but if we're 0-whatever in November the students won't show meaning the numbers won't look good. Same thing with all the late season games if we want to averge 20k plus like I think we can we've got to win or atleast look good in defeat.
12.

Knight's $100 million gift to bankroll Oregon athletics fund
Associated Press Updated: August 21, 2007, 9:08 AM ET EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon's plan to build a new basketball arena moved a giant step forward Monday when Nike co-founder Phil Knight, and his wife, Penny, pledged $100 million to the university, the largest philanthropic gift in school history. The money is not targeted specifically for an arena, university officials said. Rather, it will create the Oregon Athletics Legacy Fund, which will help support all athletic programs. But indirectly, officials said, the donation will boost the university's effort to replace aging McArthur Court with a new arena near the eastern edge of campus. "This extraordinary gift will set Oregon athletics on a course toward certain self sufficiency and create the flexibility and financial capacity for the university to move forward with the new athletic arena," Athletic Director Pat Kilkenny said. "Now we can roll up our sleeves and get to work on making the arena a reality." The university last year estimated it would take more than $200 million to pay for the arena once land costs are figured in. Fundraising for the project has been one of the top priorities for Kilkenny since he got the job earlier this year. Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press

13. Amen.
14. Correction I haven't seen a depth chart I don't think anyone outside of the coaching staff has but I've heard Mosely is being considered as high as #2 on said depth chart.
15. I really hope everyone on the board isn't really hoping for Meager to fails just to get Vizza in the field. Dodge choose Meager for a reason and I hope it's that he honestly believes right now he give us the best shot at winning football games. If it's not then maybe we hired the wrong coach. I really don't think that is the case and if it's not than lets show a little support for the man we put in control of our football program.
16. Yeah i though it might be unlocked after a certain number of posts but your at almost 1700 and still can't poll so I guess I'll just give up my life long dream of starting a poll.
17. I think everyone here agrees that putting a band-aid on a bullet wound isn’t a great idea nor that we currently have a substandard stadium. But I really don’t think building a new stadium with modern amenities I perpetuating the small thinking do nothing program we’ve grown to know and love. We’ve currently done nothing to prove we need nor deserve a new 45k plus stadium and until we do can’t we be realistic and begin a process that will take us into the future. There is no doubt we need a new stadium and due to recent support of this program we’ve be luck to get a new 20k seat stadium it’s about what we’ve earned. A lot of people think people don’t show up because of Fouts and maybe that’s the case and maybe it’s not but let’s find out. Let’s flow the athletics department’s plans and see if the school and the fans come through and start supporting the program if they do there is no doubt in my mind we will have a new modern 45k plus seat stadium with in 10 years. We currently average less than 16k per game think of how much extra money will be made when we start selling out at 32k per game. Once that happens won’t need to worry about a new multimillion dollar donor to come along and save us we’ll be able to save ourselves.
18. Yeah I don't buy that either. I've hear C-Mo hasn't progressed as quick as they hoped and he may redshirt but I've been seeing Mosely as high as 2nd on the depth chart I don't see him redshirting.
19.
August 20, 2007

Thoughts on Meager
Ok, show of hands. How many of you thought Daniel Meager would start at quarterback this season for North Texas about two months ago? Anyone? I didn't think it was much of a possibility either. Meager has endured injury problems and let several opportunities slip away. When UNT head coach Todd Dodge signed highly regarded recruit Giovanni Vizza and secured a commitment from his son Riley for 2008, Meager seemed all but done. Meager continued battling anyway and won the starting job that had been taken away so many times back. No matter what one thinks of Meager's abilities, the way he kept at it is something to admire. Who knows how long Meager will hang onto the job. Dodge said that he named his starting quarterback for the season. Meager will have his shot to stay on the field for a while. Meager has been though it all -- from being put in a tough position following a highly successful quarterback in Scott Hall to dealing with a coaching change. Meager hung in there and won the job, despite those challenges. So today, it's time to give Meager his due. He certainly deserves it after all the doubts and obstacles he has overcome in his time at UNT.
20. If he's TD's guy I'm behind him 100% but this is always funny.
21. Yeah my bad I read Gatesville and my mind somehow converted that to Gainesville. It probably had to do with the guy who needs to park in Gainesville. So pay no attention to my rambling.
22. Can’t we at least stay a little optimistic he did convince TD he can play.
23. Congrat to DM. He's the guy TD picked regardless of who you were backing lets get behind this and hope for the best.
24. You should be able to pick up the ticket on 104.1 in gainesville. The 1310 tower is south of Dallas so it fades out but 104.1 makes it to the the Oklahoma boarder.
