I know this wasn't his point but he kinda lost me after it. In college sports you can't say the coach only won because of the talent. Recruiting in college football is almost as important as the game plan and the head coach is in charge of that recruiting. With that said I do agree with rising tuition cost and schools losing money academically many coaches are being over paid.

I think my biggest concern is that their defense practices against those guys. If they can get by them what are they going to do to our inexperienced line.

It's not hard to see his greatness I hope the Dolphins and the rest of the league open their eyes to him. We've had some talent here all they need is a shot that also goes for JQ.

Andy I've never paid to park either but the rest of the board can't play the brother card.

I haven't been since last time we played up there but I know the Phi Kap house on Elm and a couple other fraternities used to charge people to park in there lot behind the houses and sold out the front yards. They're pretty close to the stadium and I think it used to be like $15-20 but they had several kegs and parking included free beer but it's been 3 years I'm not sure if they still do that.

Thing is we never really competed with the so called big boys and still won the conference 4 years in a row. Is what he said a negative statement about the program yes but is it a surrender no they tied for the Conference Championship last year and I’m sure the staff expects to be in the running this year as well.

This all depends on what you consider competing with the big boys. Yes Troy has won some big games but they beat a Missouri team that at the time was ranked #17 in the nation but ended up 5-6 that season. That same year they beat a Marshall team that went 6-6 those are both a long way from beating the #8 team in the nation. Last year Troy did only lose to Florida State 24-17 but they also lost to Nebraska 56-0 so do I have hoe for the Sun Belt to compete with top notch programs yes but are we there yet no it's going to take time for us to get to that level.

TEXAS

I don't think thats saying too much. I think we're a couple years away from competing week in and week out with teams outside of the Sun Belt. It's one thing to win the Belt and it's another to compete with the big boys.

I agree completely I hate to say it because I want to win this game just as bad as anyone but I think we will straight up get out talented. I think the Dodge system will put up some points but the bottom line is the kids UO is red shirting this year would be starting for us. Dodge will turn this thing around and before he's done here I think we will win a game like this one but not in his first game.

I'm not sure about the area list the only state recruit recently I know of higher than Riley was Jamario. But I can't find any lists online that go back prior to 2001 so I'm not sure about Booger or any of the other guys from the early bowl teams.
