I could be wrong but I'm betting most of those kids red shirted as freshman and are just listed as 4 or 5 year juniors or seniors. But I could be wrong and if you're going into your 3-4 year and know you won't start why not take a year to improve and let the depth chart clear a little. Or they could be juco redshirts like Cam not really sure it just seems odd to redshirt guys after they've been playing a year or two.

Mine worked fine, great job on the podcast. This with some luck this would be our first 2-0 start since our last season in 1-aa when we beat ACU and mizzu st in 94.

Trying to tap that vast recruiting market? I doubt the Texas athletics department knows the answer to that one.

Although I agree with not getting ahead of ourselves and just taking this one game at a time. I kinda think a new post victory tradition would be great that why I like the idea. Rather or not we win on Saturday which I think we will I’d like to see something new. I do hope to someday win another game and if by that time the program decides to incorporate the lighting of the tower into the celebration I’m on board. And as for Buzz Killington thinking we’ll never win another game so be it I say plan a celebration for every game and hopefully someday we’ll use it.

I just wish I'd known it was on FCS I just set the tivo for Thursday.

Ok stuff like this just reminds me of why i just hate PEOPLE in general. Take a joke, take comedy, take art for what it is don't take it seriously. Like this guy he doesn't even know why he's offended. Mentioning Grambling and Georgia Southern even if he meant Southern the program was about the mascot no the historical race or the program. I don't see people getting upset about Yosemite Sam chasing a tiger, eagle or jaguar. I just wish people would know what they're fighting for.

Ok I know we have to have something to talk about but trying to predict what a young team like this is going to do seems pretty futile. No one here came even close to predicting a 20-10 win at BSU. Let just enjoy the ride, keep getting better each week and hope the future is as bright as it seems.

We're taking the right steps all I can say is give them a reason to care. If we put a winning, fun product on the field with the improvements and growth of both NT and Denton support will come. Unfortunaly we've only given anyone a reason to care in about 5 of the past 30+ years. Most everyone reading this is a die hard fan but most people need something to get behind first. I'm hoping it's not just the kool aid but I'm gonna believe we can make the turn this time. "In Riley we trust"

I know the felling. I was an active greek for 5 years and I'll admit the talons were more dedicated and hard core but the greeks were the biggest group of athletics supporters on campus if they didn't vote we're screwed.

It's true this school maybe anti-greek but since everyone else on this campus is so apathetic if the greeks come out in force to support something it gets done. But if this is true and most of them didn't vote then this thing has no chance.

That really pisses me off!

It sucks but you're right. I hate that people are using team success as a factor especially since when the first vote failed we were only a couple months off of a bowl win. The anti-referendum crowd are saying show us something and we'll support you but even when the program was successful we still couldn't get the vote. I really hate the majority of the students at this school damn hippies. This vote is huge without it I don't know how any of our programs will ever compete in the future even in the sun belt. The school is growing and going in the right direction but we have to get behind the athletics programs now if we want that to continue I just hope enough people are on the right side.

I agree with his rational it's pretty much what I've been thinking. I just hope he's right.

He said it can't be certified and official until 5pm tomorrow but I'm happy with uncertified but reliable.

Yeah I can't buy that info if the school says they won't release it until tomorrow I can't see the official athletics website saying anything tonight.

And no one here has anything to hold over his head to get some info.
