This is wrong aren't we supposed to Boulevard.
-
There all from Texas. Can we wait longer than one game to put anyone on the hotseat.
-
At least someone said it. The whole team got out played; did Roman get beat yes but a lot of other guys looked pretty silly out there as well. I mentioned it last week OU is redshirting players that would be starting here at NT. The one thing I saw was no matter how ugly it got we never gave up and I think that says a lot about our future. Dodge will turn this thing around lets give him some time to put the pieces together.

Now that's tradition.

Ok your stats are confusing me but I with your point.

You've got a point I say we start campaigning to let horses fire the cannon.

Well Said!

I think most of us understand but now you kids with your loud music and your Dan Fogelberg your Zima, hula hoops and Pac-Man video games, don't you see? People today have attention spans that can only be measured in nanoseconds. Now these people demand instant gratification.

I agree completely and I think most of the board is still on board and will show up in force next week. It's the casual fans who aren't on the board that we have to win over. Yesterday dealt a huge blow to that but with a good showing next week and a good home opener I think they will stick around we just have to keep it fun and exciting on the field.

I will admit Sooner fans have been gracious in victory every time I've been up there. Thanks for your opposing insight and congrats on the win.

I'm Surprised No One Has Brought This Up Yet...

I think the difference is back then we thought we knew what was ahead. For four years in a row we practically dropped an egg in non-conference play but still dominated the Sun Belt so there really wasn’t room for panic yet. But today we have no idea what to expect we are on unknown ground the rest of the way all we can do it hope. -
Football: Unt Vows Not To Be Sacked By Blitz Of Media Attention

If we beat OU I'd say we'll have the cover next week. -
I understand that but with our rabid fan base and long waiting list for season tickets we have to build a 40000 seat stadium. RIGHT!

I agree at first i felt bad for the girl then I just felt bad for our future as a whole. Then I though we've gotta start handing out free maps.

Potential, Potential, Potential that’s all I ever hear. How about a little action this university has had more students than seats in the stadium for almost a decade now. I really don’t care if we have 60000 students and 1000000 alumni in DFW if only 15000 show up. I know it’s been a while but does anyone remember a 4 years run in which we went to four consecutive bowls and still never averaged even 20000. That’s not Fouts fault that’s the fans and lack there of. Am I onboard, ecstatic and 110% behind what Todd Dodge is doing but until we start to improve the fan base we need to be realistic and take what we deserve a nice new 30-35k seat stadium isn’t a death sentence. But like I said in a previous post I really feel the next two years are an audition and if attendance and donations increase I can see a 40000 seat stadium in the near future but it’s not up to the school to give it to us it’s up to us to take it and make it necessary. So until we as fans, alumni, student or what ever we are do our part I don’t want to hear another damn thing about potential.

I get what your saying but don't we take pride in our 2nd half shutout in Austin in 2002. Maybe Weber St played a great half or who knows maybe it could have been 100-0

I know there has been concern about what might happen to Riley's ranking since he has committed to North Texas. He was ranked #58 in Texas on the initial Rivals 100 list as a UT commitment. On the newest list updated 8/28 he is now up to #47.
-
On a similar note tonight in Philly Brad Kassell had 3 tackles and Cody Spencer had 1.
-
It looks like his final numbers are 15 for 44 rushing and 5 for 39 receiving. Can you really cut a guy who puts up 83 of 121 total yards he accounted for 68% of their total offense.
-
I liked 10 for 39. 15 for 44 not as much yet he did just make a another catch for 7 yards and a first down now 5rec for 39. End of the 3rd quarter.

That's one that interests me they averaged 30453 in a 30000 seat stadium and plan on spending 39.5 million to expand to 32000. It seems a little steep for 2000 seats but that just proves the 38 suites they're adding really are more important than number of seats. Those suites alone will raise more than 1.6 million dollars.

Thanks for cleaning it up I typed it in word and when you copy and paste from there it messes with the spacing if you type on individual lines.

I'd like everyone to realize that a 32000 seat stadium isn't the end of the world. 40 of the 119 full members of D1-A have stadiums under 40000 seats. The following schools all have stadiums which hold less than 40000 and in 2007 these schools plan host #3 West Virginia, #7 Wisconsin, #8 Oklahoma, #12 California, #23 Hawaii, Iowa, Texas Tech, Virginia, Oklahoma State and Maryland all in non-conference play. My point here is that it not the stadium that make the program it's the program that makes the stadium. Boise State is currently investing millions to expand and improve their stadium because fans needed and deserved it. We can do the same thing but it's up to us the fans and donors to do it not the University. School Capacity / Year Built Washington State 37600 / 1972. San Jose State 26000 /1933. Boise State 30000 / 1970. Idaho 16000 / 1976. Nevada 31545 / 1967. UNLV 36800 / 1971. Wyoming 33500 / 1950. Utah State 30257 / 1968. New Mexico State 30343 / 1978. Colorado State 30000 / 1968. You Can Hear The Randy Galloway Interview W/td
NTPhiKap99 replied to Green Means Go!'s topic in Mean Green Football
To open a new stadium in 2010 we've gotta begin construction by the end of the 2008 season. So I'd say how the team and fans performs over the next two years will determine how big we go. If season tickets sales, donations and attendance increases as expected then I expect the university to reward us. If average attendance is still 15-20k then we really don't need a 40k seat stadium but if we are averaging over 25k and have the donations to go with it then the university would be stupid to build something that would be obsolete once it's complete. I see the next two years as a fan and program audition for a new stadium. -
I guess your right about that pregame meal is normally about 4hrs before kickoff. I guess they might eat before getting on the bus and have some kind of snack when they arrive.
