Can we please wait until someone actually wants us to start discussing where we'd like to go. I personally think the Big XII it the best regional pick and they get a BCS bid. I think we should play their instead of CUSA or the WAC. How great would it be for all of our road games to be within 4-5hrs I vote Big XII or whatever it would then be called.

Newsflash everyone in the Sun Belt wants to join a better conference. Also several teams including ourselves have certain positive things to offer another conference. But currently none of us have enough to offer a bigger better conference to get an invite. I hope we are the first to make a jump to bigger better things but any interest shown in a Belt team here or elsewhere id good for our conference. We are all competing to take that next step and articles about any of us just draws attention to the others as well. Lets not worry about how far others have come and what attention they may be getting and worry about taking steps ourselves to start winning on the field and improving our program so we get more press and get an invitation instead of the rest of the competition.

I believe the team is open to anyone who either played highschool or college ball in Texas.

And people say we'd have to travel too far to play int he WAC. Has anyone noticed this league has five teams in Texas one in Louisiana and two in Alaska. How did anyone think this was a good idea.

That could be huge for our players it will give guys another place to display their skills past college and hopefully get noticed by NFL scouts. I hope the league makes it the NFL need a developmental league and this could serve as that. The have financial backing hopefully they can pull it off.

Never said it was fair and with out the formula I don't know exactly how its the numbers add up. But from my math Riley is only getting a total of 11 point including the 5 for being 3-star being 52nd in Texas and 48th best athlete in the nation. Yet Miami OH gets 38 points from Zac Dysert 3-star 5.6 ranked 31st in Ohio and 22nd best prostyle QB. Nevada gets 36 points for Michael Ball 3-star 5.7 as well and 22nd best RB in the nation. The system has a lot of problems so just look at the number and make you own conclusions I agree we should be 64th.

For team ranking this is all I've got 2-star = 3points 3-star = 5 points 4 - star = 7 5 - star = 9 But on top of the basic ranking teams get alot of bonus points for signing players on national and state list. We get screwed because Riley and Horton are the only players we have on any state or national list.

Because rivals over values making any national lists and their recruit Tim Lamb is rank 36th best prep school player in the nation. Even though he's graded 3-star 5.7 just like Riley he gets huge bonus points in the team ranking just for being on a national list.

That is true I don't know if it would really increase his star rating but it would increase his position value rivals uses to grade classes. He's currently ranked the 48th best athlete in the nation but with the same 3-star 5.7 grade he would be between the 9th-12th best QB in the nation.

They do have 1-stars on scout but thats only for players who haven't been graded. On rivals ungraded players are blank 0-stars then 2-stars is the minimum. I know rivals added the whole 5.whatever ranking in 2004 before that they may have had 1-stars I'm really not sure how it worked before that.

It must not have been reported to rivals that he's enrolled. I wasn't sure he had enrolled already since he signed after Juco signing day just a week before semester started.

And as of the past hour or so rivals has upgraded Franklin to 3-star 5.5 so we offically have 7. I also just noticed although 2 star on rivals scout lists Adryan Adams as 4-star.
