So only 24,000 at our Memphis game which beat SMU at Stanford's 19,000 attendance.

He signed a $1 million contract with OU, who owes him the balance. It has been my understanding that UNT would owe him the difference if his OU contract paid him less. I think Littrell had only a 1 year contract but am not sure. However he probably will get a coaching job next year and the same payment rules would apply. As I stated this is my understanding of how the process works.

Early in my health care sales I inherited a sales district as their new manager. A few years later when I started my sales agency I decided that if my performance was based upon the performance of others I was going to hire the others. Whether they accept it or not head football coaches are held to the same standard and must replace non performers less they caused you to be replaced. I don't think Purdue's or O.U.'s offensive struggles will go away but it did make their O.C.'s accountable which is something our head coach seems unwilling to do as regards our D.C.

I have slept since then but I think Dodge recruited most of the players on the 2014 team. All I ever heard from McCarney was how hard it is to recruit at North Texas. While our defense stinks, as it has done for more that this just season as well as last, our offense is fun to watch. Naturally I want to win every game but to me the Memphis game was exciting and proved , at least to me, that we are not as bad as we played against TT, and that Tech is not as good as they played against us. I feel like we can beat Tulane this Saturday.

It's just hard to beat bigger, faster, stronger.I'm sure our recruiting will continue to focus on linemen on both sides of the ball.

Mountain West looking to add NIU/Toledo
wardly replied to ColoradoEagle's topic in Conference ReAlignment
Toledo not interested as per recent podcast. NIU thinking about it for football only moving all other sports to the MVC. However the recent post listing athletic budgets only showed theirs at $21 million so I don't know if they can afford the travel expenses. Having said that they probably are not getting much media money from the MAC and the increase to $4 or $5 million might look good to them. Who knows? -
I would go with "North Texas " on helmets of all games televised and feathers, worms, state of Texas, or picture of this years home coming queen on home games. However no one called me from the Athletic Department.

What Would You Consider a Moral Victory?

While I am not one for moral victories after tonight's very entertaining game I believe we can beat Tulane. -
What Would You Consider a Moral Victory?
wardly replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
Well we gave away last years game to Memphis and lost by a point. Does anyone think that was a moral victory? -
So would New Orleans. I am just guessing that in an effort to keep the Tigers in the AAC that the promise of moving the tournament to Memphis was made. This is just a guess and by golly but the attendance at Dickies in Ft. Worth was pitiful and the weather suspect. In an effort to encourage attendance from our more northern teams I would have the tournament somewhere in Florida but my money is on Memphis.

I would like to beat a team with a winning record this year.

My money is on Memphis.

Expect more or you will get less.
-
I hope we run the 4-4-4 defense and stop someone from scoring on us in the red zone this season.
-
They also sell shirts with "you can't lick our cocks" on them.
-
They must mean the University of San Francisco, who doesn't have a football team, as USF plays as if they don't have a team as well. Also, as pointed out, no way 2 same conference teams are paired.
-
To me the only trap game we have on our remaining schedule is East Carolina.
-
Hawaii just became a full member so the MWC has the 8 all sports programs they needed while the PAC 7 does not. This allows the MWC to add at least 2 football only programs getting to 10 which makes it much easier to schedule OOC games. It also means that The PAC 7 will make another run at Memphis, Tulane, and maybe USF . The Memphis AD said the PAC 7 low balled them so expect a much larger financial package to fewer teams which probably eliminates UTSA and maybe USF.

Memphis,Army and Tulane are ranked 26th,46th,and 49th with UNT 70th behind powerhouses Georgia Southern and UL Monroe.None of the 5 teams we have beaten have a winning record. In addition, 6 of the AAC teams are ranked from 108th to 132nd. You might be correct if we win the next 3 games ,but with the exception of those programs the AAC doesn't look very strong this year. All 3 of these teams ranked above us run the ball well, especially Army, so our defense needs to really step up.
-
Yes they were.
-
All three of these teams run the ball extremely well which doesn't bode well for our porous defense. Since we can't stop anyone from scoring our QB needs to really light it up .
-
My bad! I love sarcasm but this post went over my head.

Their stadium is about 10years old.

So are you saying that if UNT played FAU in the rain at Denton our attendance would be that much Better. Also the reasons you stated about FAU could just as easily be applied to North Texas.
-
Line today is UNT -5.5 points.
