    If memory serves this was in the last few minutes of an A.State in which we were getting pounded.I never understood why we just didn't leave Thompson on bench,direct snap to running back, and just run out the clock or punt . We were done, and so was Thompson's red shirt.

    It is my understanding that R.V. has talked to both UTSA and La. Tech about establishing a traveling trophy. However, I don't know the status of these discussions.

    In my freshman year of 61' we switched from leather helmets and got quite a bit of news coverage.

    Marshall should win out, host ECU last game of season. ECU should also win remaining conference games with game against The Herd for division title.

    Doesn't Armed Forces Bowl have MWC vs either CUSA or Navy? If so, and they pick Navy, looks like CUSA is down to 5 bowls, unless they can substitute for a conference that can't fill their commitments.

    If I understood these predictions correctly, it looks like Navy bumped MTSU from Armed Forces Bowl in Ft. Worth, giving CUSA 5 bowls instead of 6.

    Unless I missed it, I saw no reference by Rice fans to "The Stand". I have been Eagle football fan since freshman year 1961,and this is best I have ever seen. In fact, this is probably the best goal line stand I have ever seen period.Great game,great halftime, and best uniforms ever, especially helmets!

    Well hell yes. I mean it's South Florida. I just can't believe that its against the law to smoke pot there. This would never happen in a college town in Texas, especially Austin.

    F.A.U. 4 point favorite at home. If you watched them play Rice on the road, you know that they are a better team than record indicates, just as Tulane is not as good.
